STUPID AND DESPICABLE

In a column published by the New York Times we have another pair of idiot utopians who have decided that the best path to the future for the Republic is to cancel elections and rip apart the series of checks and balances that keep utopians from inflicting their utopias on all of us. You know those guys, Mao, Castro, Lenin, Stalin, Pol Pot, Putin, the EU Commission and Eurocrats.

There was a time when midterm elections made sense — at our nation’s founding, the Constitution represented a new form of republican government, and it was important for at least one body of Congress to be closely accountable to the people. But especially at a time when Americans’ confidence in the ability of their government to address pressing concerns is at a record low, two-year House terms no longer make any sense. We should get rid of federal midterm elections entirely.
They're a nasty piece of work. They don't believe in government accountability to the electorate.

To quote their favorite utopians listed above, "They are enemies of the State." And we all know what utopians like to do to enemies of the state.
