We must all wonder at the kind of idiocy that prevails among architects. What an idiot.

I stood on the tarmac in Bahrain before one of my missions elsewhere and told the new missionaires, DO NOT TAKE ANY GOD DAMNED PICTURES AT OUR DESTINATION. Only to find that the second we got off the helo, those idiots were all lining up for the perfect "we were there" photo.

Yeah, they're everywhere.

Well, it seems like we'll NEVER run out of blog-fodder in this space. A two-edged sword, if there ever was such a thing.

When the FMO Marine Colonel returned to his office after his trip to Jedda to look at arrangements for the first arrival there ever of a nuclear submarine of ours, he was covered in raspberries and bruises. Like an idiot, he thought he could just whip out a camera and take pictures in a sensitive area and nobody would notice or care. He was, he said, gang tackled by about 10 Saudi security people and violently pillaged for his camera.
I laughed.
