Obviously, the question was, can even the republicans screw up and fail to appoint Judge Kavanaugh and sadly, even with that arch fiend McCain safely dead and buried there remains Flakes who just cannot wrap their conscious mind around actually being republican, conservative, not a flaming flake.

Taken directly from Instapundit some words that struck me as powerful.
UPDATE (FROM GLENN): A journalist friend texts: “Most corrupt, discredited, politically tainted Democratic-leaning law enforcement agency in America to investigate Dems’ evidence-free sex assault claims. What could possibly go wrong?”
Yes, the FBI hasn’t exactly covered itself with nonpartisan glory, has it? And merely assigning this investigation is an implicit statement that it botched the 6 prior background investigations it did on Kavanaugh. I think they should go ahead and vote — this is probably just a stall so that the Democrats’ Avenatti-types can gin up more bogus accusations.
Plus, George Korda comments on Facebook: “If Republicans, with a Senate majority, fail to deliver an affirmative Supreme Court justice vote in the face of allegations without evidence, many in the Republican base will drop GOP incumbents like a molten rock. I suspect that is part of the Democratic political calculus concerning Kavanaugh.”
I suppose it's a good thing I didn't buy that used flamethrower at the Army Navy store in downtown San Diego or the Army Navy store in downtown Alameda. I would really like to take a flamethrower to those morons and scumbags.

I predict that the rethuglicans will squish like squish and vote against Trump's nominee.
God damned squish that they are. It's kind of a relief that McCain is no longer there to lead the proud herd of squish to the left and into the never ending tar pit of republican despair.

I have npr on the tv with a presenter aping some female traits but with hair shorter than mine leading a soliloquy about just how awful that Kavanaugh person is, must be, shall be, remains.

Oddly enough, I have absolutely no desire to turn up the sound and hear the learned commentary.

Oh, and Happy Birthday!

The only way you can clear your name is an investigation. The FBI needs to get involved and somehow make allegations from 36 years ago bear your name you racist misogynist biggot.

I so love npr on pbs which joins the rest of the shit media that I won't watch.  I still listen to the npr radio which is very much like Art Bell, and One can just drive and listen to toxic non reality and laugh out loud because, you know. You actually know. See the guidelines of the blog. To see and too know are kind of written in there I own or have access to 6300 hundred books on history and people doing the evil to other people.

Did I mention that Jeraldo Rivera moved into my neighborhood in metroparkcentralis?

Still watching the Kavanaugh auto de fe. He mentioned his calenders and I looked over to where mine were back when I kept track of time. They started in 1983 so I can see that that time was meaningful and that maybe some would be lost if only in time. Oddly enough they were an aide memoire for me and only me. They cover about 13 years. The first five were the most intense and those are the 3 books on the left. After that, inspite of marriage and a wonderful daughter, time slowed down a lot and took up way less than a book. One might argue I was busier then with little time to write.
books I have written

The boxes are the medals I have. The ones on top are my grandfather's, the cigar boxes are mine.

Just watching his testimony to the Senate. Yeah, I stand with him.

NPR plays Beehoven's Pathetique in the intermission of their trial of the century where they gently showed us a women who claims she was touched when she was nobbut some guy.

Honestly, one wonders where all the people come from given the fact that touching girls is against some law then and for all time and God help you if you touched one at any time. Still, epiphany.

What can one say. I like this house.

Did you, like me, ever wonder what God you had dishonored that you would appear on national TV as a sort of trashpunk behind Senator Grassley? We kind of know what Monica was doing but how much more embarassing to show up in the background of congressional lick spittling? You know what's worse? Being behind Diane Feinstein in the same hearing.

OK, so I have the sound off because not a beautiful voice and senators but I wonder,

how many different ways to hear a liar tell us that when he was alleged to be 17 or 15 did this monster touch her. Could one not wrap this up in about 16 seconds? Touched you and you scarred you  for life and ........ white slavery?  He then became a pirate?........  At this point he turned into a flesh eating cannibal........? Srsly, the rational mind wants to reach for a flame thrower.

A sudden realization about the nature or meaning of something. An epiphany can often come about due to some experience that may trigger the sudden realization.

They are like a thunderbolt. What a glorious feeling.

I remember a genre that is mostly just make believe but bear with me a bit. I can see now that it would really be possible to take one of Latin America's country's by a coup de main with say 100 trained and armed guys and in this case, let us posit former SEALS. You could see them entering the Presidential palace, killing everybody there and then announcing that their man is the new ruler of Venezuela.

Would it work? Sure it would.

Would Venezuela go up in flames as they fought for their whatever? Perhaps but I really don't see how this would be any different from what is going on there now. In short, you settle in, rub out the obnoxious ones and there you are, running a whole country like Venezuela.

I think in the 70's an author could get away with such a scenario but here in the early days of WWIV I don't think they'll go for that. Laziest people I know are former SEALS and in my own experience getting them to do anything worthwhile was an epic feat.

And, at the end of the day, you'd like own Venezuela. Nobody wants that.

The Democrats have viciously overplayed their hand

This tragedy that became a farce is now a crime, the crime of purposeful defamation of an innocent man.  Leftists are so determined to prevent Kavanaugh from becoming a justice on the Supreme Court that they have exposed themselves as the lowlife cheaters they are, without shame or any sense of decency.
When they do not win, they will do anything to undo their loss.  This is what has motivated the left since the 2016 election.  From the moment Trump won, leftists set about their plans to remove him from office by any means necessary.  The cabal that put this plan into motion cares nothing for the law, the Constitution, or the people its members set out to ruin as they have Brett Kavanaugh.
There are no words to adequately describe how venal these conspirators among the congressional left are, how low they are prepared to go.  To this day, not one Democrat has spoken out against this monstrous plan to destroy a fine man who has led an impeccable life.  Not one.  Each and every one of them knows that this is an odious campaign based on lies, but not one of them will admit to this fact.  The Democratic Party is officially deplorable in every sense of the word.
Blasey Ford's allegations are laughable, not at all credible.  The woman has no memory of when, where, how her alleged assault took place.  She was and remains known for her excessive drinking.  She has no idea who groped her any more than the second woman Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer (who regularly celebrates the wrong people) have written about in the New Yorker knows who exposed himself to her, if anyone.
Like Blasey Ford, Deborah Ramirez also could not find one person to corroborate her story.  She tried for six days!  Is someone paying these women to prostitute themselves on the altar of lies in order to destroy Kavanaugh?  Soros?  Steyer?  The Clintons?  They are all infamous for funding and promoting this kind of fake news.
Can there be any Americans following this story who are not enraged and offended by the obvious orchestrated smear of a good and decent man?  According to some polls, yes.  Who are the people who believe these accusers?  How could any American fall for such a scam?  No mystery there.  American educational standards have fallen so drastically that young people have no civic knowledge.  They know nothing about American history or the Constitution.
This has been by design.  The left has controlled how history is taught for at least three decades.  Young people don't even know that one must be presumed innocent until proven guilty.  These Ford-supporting senators don't seem to remember this, either.  That in itself is stunning.  The Democrats have assembled a mob, and "The mob is the mother of tyrants" (Diogenes).
As Blasey Ford's story disintegrates, the Dems conveniently found the second woman willing to throw herself on the pyre of indecency in order to destroy a fine man and his family.  The New Yorker (of course) is on board with the rest of the left and happy to co-ordinate to take Kavanaugh down.  But even the NYT refused to print Ramirez's allegation.  There are no facts in her story, no witnesses, not one.  There is only her admitted foggy memory of an admitted drunken evening.  She had no clear memory that it was Kavanaugh until coached and cajoled for six days by leftist activists.
Taking Trump out means humiliating anyone and everyone in his administration, his judicial nominees, and his supporters – no ethics, no morals, no scruples required.  Trump is dealing with the Harry Reid-Chuck Schumer brand of politics: lethal, cruel, and barbaric.
And look who are the accusers' cohorts: the 85-year-old Feinstein, who is as corrupt as Hillary Clinton when it comes to using her Senate seat to enrich herself, and Gillibrand, who rants and raves her hypocrisy like a 12-year-old.  (She is pals with Harvey Weinstein and Bill Clinton.)  Then there is the fatuous Senator Blumenthal, the stolen valor senator who falsely claimed he fought in Vietnam.  He insists that it is Kavanaugh who must prove his innocence.  Kamala Harris, well known to be ethically challenged, is of course howling about the "victims."  Judge Kavanaugh is the victim here.
Senator Mazie Hirono of Hawaii is too ignorant of the Constitution and basic ethics to discuss; she is a disgrace to the Senate and her state.  Men, to Hirono, should not have a voice because they are all guilty.  She says the law does not apply here because "we are not in a court of law, we are in the court of credibility."  No evidence needed.  She is a very stupid woman, and Hawaiians actually elected her.  This is a huge problem.  It is disturbing that any of these people was elected.  Voters need to be more cognizant of the character of the people for whom they vote.
It is too soon to predict how this horrific, criminal upheaval will end.  Will the left succeed in destroying Kavanaugh?  If it does, it will signal the end of our democratic republic as we know it.  It will mean that the media and their fake polls govern us all; that Cloward and Piven have won, Marx has won, and Saul Alinsky has won; and that Obama did indeed "fundamentally transform the nation."
And it will mean the loss of the House and Senate in November.  Republicans will be so furious at their representatives that they will not vote.  If Republicans in Congress are so spineless, why bother when they let the Democrats run the show even when they are the majority party?
Clearly, Kavanaugh is a fine and decent man.  Those searching for troubled women to accuse him of some unverifiable crime are loathsome.  What these Democrats and their operatives in the media are doing to him is unconscionable.  They know very well that these allegations are lies.  They helped invent them.  The Republicans must not let them win.  Confirm the man now.

To vote against the  man at this point is simply an announcement that you truly believe in personal destruction by lies and that you are too spineless to stand for the right and honorable thing.

If you fail to vote for and approve the nomination of judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court I truly hope that you are hunted down and killed for being nothing more than a shoe that wears shit proudly.

California leads the world in public retirement scams. They nailed abuse of the people to their mast and they sailed on. It's not just the police and fire it's every single public employee union. It's localities that must pay their mayor $900,000/year because you know, that's how the scam works.

Californians put up with this and elect utter dirtbags like Pelosi and Feinstein becuase they think they're smarter than us.

One almost hates to disabuse them.

I would not walk this path. Watch in full screen for best effect.

Here you go. If the scumbags that have tried to smear this man get away with their actions it will indeed be a sad day for this country and in all likelihood mean the end of public service by men and women of true good will.

One city does the right thing and fires a murderous cop.

White Dallas cop is fired two weeks after shooting dead her black neighbor in his apartment
Amber Guyger was fired by Dallas Police Department on Monday morning
The force said it was due to 'adverse conduct' which was her killing neighbor Botham Jean on September 6
Guyger was arrested three days after the shooting at the apartment block where both she and Jean lived
Her claim that she found his door ajar and him inside has come under scrutiny
She alleges it was an accident and that she thought his apartment was her own
Neighbors say they heard her knocking on the door, shouting 'let me in' and 'exchanging words' with Jean before he was shot
She was charged with manslaughter and is awaiting her next court date
Srsly, you really have to fire police that do this sort of thing and you need to send them to jail when they murder innocent unarmed people. They all wear bullet proof vests and carry sidearms. For them to claim the protection of innocence after standing over the bodies of the people they shot to death is unacceptable. Mistaken murders are simply not an option.

Shamelessly ripped off from wirecutter.

srsly, how can you not laugh?

I see that our Navy leaders have decreed that surface warfare officers must now document their skills in a log similar to that used by generations of naval aviators who recorded their flight hours and traps and handy things like how many night hours, night traps in the dark, etc they racked up in the course of flying for Uncle Sam.  I wonder if they let maintenance officers count time spent doing rotor turns on deck for post maintenance checks. But I digress....

What was somehow glossed over in the reporting on this new skills capture plan was what possible use it would be given that watch standing on a bridge is fundamentally different from flying an aircraft. I don't care what they say, typically we only find one single solitary person is aviating the plane at any given time. Anybody else in the cockpit is navigating, bombing, weaponeering or simply terrified. It's not like that when driving a ship.

The officer of the deck will tell the junior officer of the deck (the conning officer) what to do and the conning officer will tell the helmsman/lee helmsman who will turn the ship or signal the engines to change speed or pitch. In other words, what moves a ship is a cascade that starts from the origin and spreads out to the mix of competence, incompetence, under instruction etc personnel who execute the follow-through. Sometimes what happens has little resemblance or bearing to what was ordered to happen.

What about Tactical Action Officers who stand some sort of unimportant watch where they are held accountable for precisely nothing and what about Combat Information Center watch officers who are usually equally held to no account or standard since it is, after all, a pretty much useless watch station held by someone not qualified to actually drive the ship?  Oh sure, their roles are spelled out in OPNAV 3120.32D,  the Standard Organization and Regulations Manual.

As I read about one ship after another killing its sailors because the commanding officers had put boobs in charge of the ship while they slept the night away I was repeatedly struck by the insane number of people they put into the safety equation which is generally not helped by spreading responsibility and accountability among many. When I was The Officer of the Deck it was clear from the top down that I was 100% accountable for the safety of the ship and sailors. Me. The only people I was answerable to at any level were the Navigator and CO. Not the Tactical Action Officer which we never sailed with and not the Combat Information Center watch officer which was a role similar to purgatory and a position filled by the pen of the Senior Watch Officer because of the damned SORM that mandated such a critter.

There was another book the Navy once used. I'm not sure if they still do since it's been more than a decade since my last sail in a navy sailing craft. A friend of the family at the Naval War College went on later to be the Director of Navy Sailing and he created a log book. Same concept but old habits died hard so each local navy recreation boating facility wanted to keep qualifying every potential boater.

Just some of the qualification cards and log books I received over the years

The reward was always there though if you just persevered.

Shields, arguably the nicest racing boat in the world
Unfortunately, the way the Navy works is hard to believe. The log book sounds fine but who will keep it up to date since it is pretty meaningless? Who will review it at any point in its existence other than the officer filling it out? Well, this is where the Navy does Navy and mandates a paper record and, AND, a computer log that the Senior Watch Officer must sign off on and review every week or every change of the watch quarter and station bill and like always some jackass will think if it's good enough for the zeros it must be good for the sailors and they will inflict it on all the sailors everywhere and it will soon include hours spent driving a staff car, waiting in a staff car, answering the phone, typing on a computer or hours spent on a riding mower cutting the grass at some dismal naval station that hasn't contracted that out yet.

You there in the back! I can see you! You think this won't happen. Ha! I've seen it again and again and if you think they won't require hard copy and computer record files that match 100% you haven't seen INSURV or the Propulsion Examining Board and both of those served useful functions. Imagine what a CLASSRON staff can do to make life even more miserable for the sailors afloat by imposing this on all of them.

It's odd to watch it weave back and forth. On the gripping hand, hearing anybody who favors chopping babies into pieces complain about the sight of penis or an unwanted kiss is kind of like the current pope claiming to be catholic. It's gone beyond surreal.

Maggie's Farm had a go at publishing something called The Foggy, Foggy Dew on Saturday.

This is the version that I recall best. After I graduated from Penn State I was stashed there for a little while as I waited for the next surface warfare school class to convene in Newport. One of the smarter instructors suggested I seek out some others at Penn State and look into sharing a house in Newport rather than some cheap apartment or God forbid, the student bachelor officer quarters. I tracked down Captain Michael Lemieux at his little house in the woods. It was practically a log cabin and isolated. When he let me in I had to squeeze in through all the instruments and sound equipment he had in that little one room house. Needless to say, he took it all with him to Newport when we found the right house (had to have a piano he said).

He had reel to reel tapes and records out the wazoo and $10,000 worth of stereo and speakers he bought in Japan when his ship was homeported there and in the Philippines. He had everything recorded by Tommy Makem and the Clancy Brothers and much else besides. We happily set up our digs at 14 Annandale Road a few blocks from the famous girls school, Salve Regina, and had some memorable times and parties.

It was kind of surreal. My parents had just moved out of their house at 482 Strauble Circle, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan and moved back into our family house in Annandale, VA and it turns out that the owner of the house there on Annandale Road in Newport had just moved into the house my parents vacated in Michigan. The military world is much smaller than one would ever guess from looking at just the number of people in uniform. That was driven home looking at the names of those who signed the memorial for Mike. I knew a lot of them too at different times and places.

That they disport themselves in glee and intemperance as they await the sure and certain smiting of the one nominated by the Trump is apparent to even the most casual viewer and yet I wonder how they can be so dismissive of a man with a record unblemished for all of his life until this moment when on the cusp of appointment to the highest office in the land he is laid low by some foul orc from Palo Alto who practises every form of witchcraft and debauchery known to such low fiends from hell and who is, on the face of it, a fabulist of the worst sort.

That sentence was for you Buck. I think it beats my old record by quite a few words.

I  honestly don't understand the democrats of my acquaintance, friends of mine, who cannot contain their glee at the destruction of a man by a simple and single accusation from the remote past launched by a die-hard enemy of the right and the good and who holds integrity so lightly that they will cast it from them like a red hot shot rather than abide the touch of truth. You ever wonder how the whole Salem Witch Trials came about back in the Dark Ages? Wonder no more. You get to watch a full 42% of America wrap itself around self-righteous unctuous bile and lick it for the flavor that's in it because they hate Trump so much they would willingly wield the knife that sacrificed their own first born if they could by that slash terminate a good man appointed by a man they hate and loath beyond all the bounds of reason.

Ripped off from American Digest.

Give it a minute and then appreciate what can be done with a green screen.

They just wander through the neighborhood as the whim takes them. This one posed for the picture and then moved on.

Given the recent flail of accusation without foundation or evidence, I wondered where such tactics would lead in the Ringworld by Larry Niven.
We could do with a little more of that in response to allegations without substance made from dreams and fueled by rage and hate. I think Christine Blasey Ford just set fire to the #MeToo outrage and men will simply no longer believe anything claimed without actual real proof.

As a commanding officer I had to deal with a few captain's mast cases where it was 'she said/he said' and there wasn't a lick of evidence to back up the claims made formally to the chain of command. These pretty much define TANJ. I can think of no justification for sitting on an alleged assault charges for months, years, decades even, without making any stir at all and given that, I see no reason whatsoever to believe them when I read about them.

It looked a little like this last night at the Hoover Building.

Monday, September 17, 2018

Transparency makes its first appearance after more than 8 years of skulduggery, lying, concealing, misfiling, character assassination, and truth-killing. I'm sure there was a lot of happiness in the White House tonight and I'm sure Sarah Sanders was over-the-moon with delight when her office put out the following statement tonight.

The best is yet to come. This is the little tiny bit of the iceberg of truthiness that sticks up out of the swamp water. Never forget that there is a single definition for national security classification markings and it goes like this:

The U.S. classification of information system has three classification levels -- Top Secret, Secret, and Confidential -- which are defined in EO 12356.2 Those levels are used both for NSI and atomic energy information (RD and FRD). Section 1.1(a) of EO 12356 states that:
(a) National Security Information (hereinafter "classified information") shall be classified at one of the following three levels:
    (1) "Top Secret" shall be applied to information, the unauthorized disclosure of which reasonably could be expected to cause exceptionally grave damage to the national security.(2) "Secret" shall be applied to information, the unauthorized disclosure of which reasonably could be expected to cause serious damage to the national security.
    (3) "Confidential" shall be applied to information, the unauthorized disclosure of which reasonably could be expected to cause damage to the national security.
Section 1.1(b) of EO 12356 states that "except as otherwise provided by statute, no other terms shall be used to identify classified information."

As far as we know from the scraps of information gleaned from 2 years of in-depth research into the whole Russia-Trump lie by Mueller and his cronies, not one scrap of the material currently classified at ANY LEVEL is of a nature to cause 'exceptionally grave damage, serious damage or even damage' to national security if it is all released to the public unredacted. The sources and methods of obtaining that information didn't utilize any capabilities that make their information subject to the old catchphrase "classified sources and methods" which was used throughout the Cold War to refer to what were euphemistically known as 'National Technical Means.'

It's worth noting that it is illegal for the National Security Agency to spy on American citizens in the United States and therefore there can be no question that National Technical Means are not an issue in determining whether any information in the hands of the Mueller probe or others is classified by its means of production.

I look forward to ALL of the files being declared unclassified by the President and their broad distribution to the citizens of the United States. I suspect that is his October surprise.

What we've experienced for 60 years has been the overclassification of things that are embarrassing to public officials at just about all levels of government. They cover their screwups by classifying and burying them. The only reason for classification of any of the materials in the investigation is mooted by the fact that they must be produced for any legal case to be made against the accused.

There is a sure-fire way to reduce crime and even gun violence and it won't violate any body's Constitutional rights and will still be 100 times more effective than Chicago's stupid bans on gun ownership. What is it you wonder? How can you cut crime like that without violence to the Bill of Rights? Simple.

Ban the sale, ownership and wear of any hoodie anywhere by anybody at anytime. You could even make it a new sport for hunters. See a hoodie, open fire on it. Don't stop shooting until it stops moving. One would have to police up the brass and track down any wounded hoodie wearer who doesn't drop dead on the spot. That's just good field craft and you don't want to leave some wounded thug out there to suffer a long lingering death in a snow bank or alley.

Self Defense Measures in Effect

Diane Feinstein was once my senator. I left the state. I am sick and tired of anonymous allegations of wrongdoing launched decades after the alleged 'fact'. I refuse to pay any attention to any anonymous allegations by anybody about anybody and I don't really care when they occurred. I think people who launch anonymous accusations that ruin the lives of others should be flayed alive. We can start with Diane Feinstein.

The anonymous accuser has outed herself and as expected turns out to be one of Satan's Elect on Earth a loyal party Democrat and someone deeply involved in the pseudo-science known now as the  "recovered memory scandal in California." You can google the term in quotes and look at the debunking of the new Salem Witch Trials created by academic frauds who created 'recovered memories' which were then used to destroy innocent people. I was living in Emeryville at the time and it made the news every night for months. This case pretty much sounded the death knell of the false memory witch trials. Naturally, the spawn of satan accuser is in the same fraudulent business and trying to show that perserverance alone will outmaneuver the truth. The truth is pretty damning.

Given our current sad state of affairs I thought this was a fascinating read and well worth a couple of minutes of your time. I have the link right up front for those that would like to read the whole conversation. I've just excerpted a few bits for review. I thought that the last line was prophetic and sure enough, the biography of Margaret Mitchell was on our local PBS last night.

Woodpile Report  A few years ago I wrote a guest article entitled "Frankly my dear" for Francis Porretto's indispensable  Liberty's Torch. As long-time readers are aware, I knew the segregated South first hand and spoke against it when it was neither popular nor completely safe. Alas, in the years that followed I learned a hard lesson, to wit: there's nothing quite like being played and betrayed to see things as they really are. Although this essay continues to have some small level of currency, some readers may not have seen it, so I'll repost it here.
Frankly my dear....
Schools now teach something called White Privilege, which claims no overt act is necessary for us to be racist, in fact, absence of such acts is said to be direct evidence. It's the "original sin" concept in a different wrapper, meaning our putative racism is bone deep and can't be discharged by good works. Even so, they say we must atone in perpetuity for being white. They suggest we devote our lives in selfless service to you. No. Sorry. Whatever white privilege there may be, it isn't enough. In fact, being subjected to White Privilege prattle is worth a couple of privileges. .....
We won't take a chance on your sincerity ever again. Take it somewhere else, you have no credibility left with us. You're a net liability, predictable to the point of surety. So we attend to our own lives and our own problems. It's as it should be. We recommend it. As for you, frankly my dear, we don't give a damn.

Me, I'm fed up with all the BS about white privilege. I no longer laugh at urban school districts prattling on about minority education in their classrooms and trying to figure out how to spread the real minority students out to enough schools to get around the fact that most of the whites left the urban cores to get away from the dead hand of the State and the Justice Department. Those two and the Department of Education play a destructive role in educating minor children and insist that integration is the only way to pave a path into a successful future for minority achievement. I have yet to see any rational case for the argument that diversity is strength. When you say it aloud it sounds like it came right out of Orwell's dystopias.

In those school districts with fewer than 10% white students they are not the ones treated as the minority, they are still treated as the majority and subjected to every penalty the urban majority can dream up for them. I recall reading a recent article urging the cities to seize the towns surrounding the city in order to get the tax revenues and to get back enough white students that integration could be achieved if only we used more buses. What they're missing is, as usual, evidence. It's not just the whites that left the urban cores to get away, so too did the middle class which includes people of every hue. The suburbs immediately surrounding the cities have school demographics that rival the inner cities'.

White Privilege

ripped off from Ace of Spades.

As one might expect, the board members appointed by Jerry Brown have flushed the Crossroad of the West gun show down the toilet of political expeidiency and hatred for the freedoms enshrined in the Bill of Rights. They voted 8-1 to cancel all future gun shows starting in 2019 because of the danger that is the sale or even the presences of guns and ammunition. Oddly, there was no talk at all of banning rap concerts on state lands and those seem to be the source of most of the shootings at the Del Mar fairgrounds.

I suspect that the gunshows will fight back in the courts and in the greater sphere of public discourse. I suspect they got blindsided at the last meeting of the 22nd Dept of Agriculture. This is obviously going to call for more debate. After all, where all those murderous democrats going to get the firearms they profess to need in order to shoot Republican law makers and republican supporters?  I think we'll have to see if this is settled or not.
The board that oversees activities at the state-owned venue voted 8-1 Tuesday to suspend the shows after Dec. 31 until a policy is developed that could include a complete ban on the possession of any firearms or ammunition.
Imagine that, a gunshow with neither guns nor ammunition. Only in California.

Some people apparently think that this is a suitable substitute for the towers.

I disagree.

Right in front of our eyes the day just kept getting worse.

Thursday, September 6, 2018

I'm wondering, what will the various vile outfits that make up antifa, code pink, blm, occupy, etc., do when they finally understand that nobody at all is shocked by the grotesques that they manifest with such natural lack of style and grace? You know, when you look at a thing like this and go, ah, the pea-brains are at play again and you just move on.

It isn't just that it is ridiculous and over the top. It isn't amusing and it isn't particularly shocking given the number of idiotic things the code pink movement and follow-on movements, whatever they call themselves, get up to these days. What it clarified for me tonight is that it simply isn't all that shocking and is fairly typical for those who identify with movement issues beyond the bounds of decorum, reason or sanity. You know, the kind of people that insist that their angst and hate issues outweighs the will of the majority in a Republic.

I know what the taliban did when they decided to shock the world and show us they meant what they said. They acted in line with past behavior of their kind of muslim religious fanatic and they started blowing things up. They started with cars and people and buildings and thought they'd top that and show the world they meant business and details can be found here. It is fascinating reading. They blew up the 5th century statues of Buddha because the statues were incompatible with their world view.

Not to be outdone, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria followed the ordinary muslim practice of sudden onset radical fundamental religious madness and initiated their own vicious attacks on cars, buildings, people, whatever crossed their path and then decided that what really needed to be done was reduce ancient Palmyra to utter ruin and they devoted considerable time and effort to destroying all that remained of the city named Palmyra.

Temple of Bel in Palmyra

Same temple after ISIL showed us
With all the forgoing, what do you imagine is going to happen when antifa and blm and the rest of the far left social justice warriors decide we're not taking them seriously anymore? Most of us never really took them seriously since we tended to view them as the violent outgrowth of lunatic fringe morons such as code pink. They all think they're following in the footsteps of MLKjr and the civil rights demonstrators and freedom riders and haven't yet grasped the fact that they are more akin to Mao's Red Guard and Cultural Revolutionaries and we all know how that worked out.

Sadly, the real outer fringe of lunacy in antifa and blm may be deciding that perhaps a red guard isn't enough and what they need to do is call our attention to them by resorting to atrocities along the same lines as the taliban, isis, isil and pol pot.

Before I became familiar with Mueller and Comey I used to not worry over much about the radical fringe since I figured that the FBI was keeping an eye on them. Now that I've seen the upper echelons of the FBI, DoJ, ATF, etc. at work, I no longer have any faith that they could find their way out of a wet paper bag.

I expect if things don't go down in the special counsel's auto-da-fé as arranged by the lunatic democrats, the pipe bombs will start turning up all over the place in an effort to show the justice of their charges against Trump by blowing up little kids on the Mall or trying to truck bomb the Lincoln Memorial because he was, after all, a Republican.

These groups have a nasty habit of random violence.

A Federal judge tells the President of the United States that he is not allowed, by Federal law to block people from viewing his twits according to the New York Times. See what the judge had to say:
Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald, addressing a novel issue about how the Constitution applies to social media platforms and public officials, found that the president’s Twitter feed is a public forum. As a result, she ruled that when Mr. Trump or an aide blocked seven plaintiffs from viewing and replying to his posts, he violated the First Amendment.
Given the ongoing insanity, you really should take a minute and read the link above. It won't take but a minute and will prove helpful when people you know tell you that of course Dorsey has every right to cut off and deny the President of the Free World access to the system because First Amendment. There is more insanity at The Register.
As such, he is breaking the First Amendment on free speech by preventing people from being able to see his posts, responses to his posts, or contact him over the service - if they are logged in to Twitter. The court decided that the president's own First Amendment rights did not override the plaintiffs.
On the other hand the billionaire owner of Twitter is talking about banishing the President of the United States from the communication system if anything he writes is hurtful to some moron or left wing bigot. But I repeat myself.

Bear with me here. We start, again, with the New York Times.
If Twitter wanted to, it would be well within its rights to suspend Donald J. Trump’s account. After the president-elect used Twitter last week to criticize Chuck Jones, an Indiana union leader who represents workers at the Carrier company, Mr. Jones reported receiving a series of threatening phone calls from Mr. Trump’s supporters. Similarly, last year, Mr. Trump used Twitter to attack a college student who asked him a critical question at a rally; The Washington Post reported that the woman has been barraged by obscene and deranged threats ever since.
As a corporation, Twitter is under no First Amendment obligation to let Mr. Trump use the service. It gets to make its own set of speech rules within its own walls, and among those rules is a prohibition on using the service to incite harassment. Earlier this year, the company suspended several Trump supporters who appeared to run afoul of those rules. Twitter has said that its policies apply to every user.
I imagine Dorsey's eyes bugged out of his head when he read those words because with those two paragraphs the priceless New York Times just told the world that the U.S. Government must now step in and regulate Twitter and probably all other social media and start placing them under the lash of the Federal Communications Communication who will then order them to began acting as a "common carrier."  Read the link it's brief and it is what will roil the U.S. for the next 5-10 years.

You thought net neutrality was a thing, wait until the government steps in and tells the various social media scabs that they are not permitted to throttle the exchange of information across their servers unless it something like child porn which is forbidden by law. All those who bleated about the need for net neutrality never thought it would apply to the flow of informational content they disdain. They thought they could continue to gobble up bandwidth and the ISPs were compelled to provide more and more and more. It's like Rent Control. They almost got what they wanted.

I'm sure with friends like the New York Times, Dorsey is suffering from a severe case of heart burn and urge to kill. His allies are far far more dangerous than the many of us who just want one set of rules for all. Chumps.

Read that first cited paragraph again. If the law thinks it can compel the President to refrain from not sharing his thoughts because of the First Amendment, what novel approach will Dorsey argue that he is not banning 52 million twitter followers from receiving those vital Presidential thoughts because it's his public duty to limit the spread of ideas in the "public forum" when they are what the rabid people hate?

I love it!

UPDATE: Repaired the link

The usual crowds of sycophants and racist losers have been saying for the last day or so that a young lady seated behind the next Justice during his opening testimony, was making a white supremacy gesture during that circus and they claim that the All American A OK hand sign that has been in use for about oh, let's say 100 years now, is some sort of white supremacy "secret sign".  Screw them

I'll have to get one up on my blog sometime soon just so I don't stand out from other patriotic Americans who aren't going to let a bunch of pussies, bigots, racists and scum force us to ditch a symbol in use for over a century where it has had just one meaning. "Good Job" or as we in the Navy would say, Bravo Zulu.

Good Lord can't you see the dimwits going utterly batshit crazy if they knew that the best praise one can earn short of a medal is a BZ from the boss and in this Navy we pronounce that phonetically when we use it audibly and it sounds just like "Bravo Zulu." Did you hear that? He said, Zulu. Racist!!!!!!!!

I did get a kick out of the dimwits missing the irony of a movie on symbology that came out in theaters last year, which, come to think of it, I doubt any of them ever saw. A lot of real people saw it and we enjoyed it so much we watched it twice.

I don't watch the news or listen to it. I do, however, still read the news. It sounds like I missed very little last week since coverage appears to have been nothing less than universal moment by moment tributes to a gifted singer and some guy. As I reflect, one's state of mind is always better if one doesn't follow the news too closely, or at all.

I need to work harder!

I read through this mockery of a news story about Swedes having issues about delays in receiving health care and they never mentioned that the Swedish government had let in hundreds of thousands of third world clients of the health care system who are having an astronomical number of health issues such as 4 to 10 times more kids than Swedes and many more injuries as a result of the violence that just seems inherent to impoverished immigrants from the 3rd World.

Gloss, shine and polish but never actually furnish the news.

They're all lined up along the roads and highways trying to keep stupid people from protesting in busy streets and highways instead of, you know, doing important stuff like prevent gun violence.

The Del Mar Race Track is many things. They run horse races there for about 6 weeks in the summer and then it returns to the other things it does such as host garden shows and the International Crossroads of the West Gun Show which I attended a couple of times when I lived across the street about 2 blocks away.

Oddly enough there were thousands of guns and hundreds of armed people that turned out for the gun shows and I never heard of a single shooting. It must be because they didn't invite rappers to the party.

Among the most perfectly self-entitled people in America.
A sheriff's deputy shot a man Sunday after he pulled a gun and fired several shots when he was told he couldn’t get a ticket to the sold-out Ice Cube concert at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, authorities said.
Sheriff’s officials said the man had gone to a ticket window around 6:40 p.m., hoping to buy a ticket to the concert, and became upset when he was told none were available.
“An argument ensued and nearby deputies responded,” a sheriff’s statement said. “The man pulled out a silver plated semi-automatic handgun and fired several shots into a crowded area. Deputies engaged and returned fire.”
The shooting, which occurred during the final race of the day, created a chaotic scene at the venue. The man who was shot was taken to the hospital by ambulance; his condition was not known.
You wanna guess where 50% of the Sheriff's Deputies were at the time? Yep. Right there.
