Ah, you should see the ones he wrote in pencil. Those are tough to decipher. Fortunately, a good scanner and then image intensification/magnification work wonders on bringing up the faintest letters. The hard part is the lone capitals on names that are not words. Those can take awhile to puzzle out. I think its amazing how close his writing is to Edwardian script that I use to write them out.
The originals are in excellent shape... perfect, actually. Luther had a nice hand.
