General Harold Greene, lost in combat while deployed in Afghanistan on Tuesday, 5 August. I greatly regret and mourn the passing of all our people lost in the struggle against terrorism. This one strikes close to home and to me. His family lives down the road from my family. He held the same job at the Pentagon my father once had.
a good man.

I watched General Harold J. Greene's repatriation, who would have been so proud of his immediate family as they stood in sorrowed dignity. When they were escorted onto the plane at their request to thank members of the flight crew, I felt it typified the character of a genuine father in the way he brought his children up. God bless him and his family. Aye.
It was a sad day. I look forward to the day when no more of our transports return from Iraq or Afghanistan and land at Dover.
