You remember that massacre right? It was 13 years ago.

The Beslan school massacre began on 1 September 2004, lasted three days, involved the capture of over 1,100 people as hostages including 777 children and ended with the death of at least 385 people. 

The crisis began when a group of armed Islamic terrorists attacked School Number One in the town of Beslan, North Ossetia, Russian Federation. The hostage-takers were the Riyadus-Salikhin Battalion, sent by the Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev, who demanded recognition of the independence of Chechnya by the United Nations and Russian withdrawal from Chechnya.

It's not like that can happen in America. Everybody loves US.

FADING INTO HISTORY

The East German State recognized their doom when I was born in Nurnberg, Germany. Their feeble attempts to save themselves availed them not. No wall could save them from me.

Sunday marked the anniversary of the construction of the Berlin Wall, erected in 1961 by East Germany’s Communist government to prevent its captive citizenry from fleeing to the West. In 1989 Germans tore down the wall and then the regime. Germany was reunified in 1990 and in the years since its people have not forgotten the horrors of totalitarianism.

If you cock your head just right and look a tiny bit to the right of the light, you can see me and my older sister staring out at you. My parents were in Germany then because our nation and our leaders had committed to defending the West and as a sign of our commitment we had stationed troops all through Germany, prepared to stop the next European invasion. It worked pretty well after I was born and by the time I left the service, the Cold War was over, the USSR was humbled and broken up and things were looking pretty rosey right up until the East Germans elected Angela Merkel and decided that on top of their enormous burden of Turkish-never-Germans they should add a few million ISIS-never=Germans to the mix.

So, we won the Cold War and Germany lost the real war. Isn't that just like Germany?

HOW DEMOCRACY WORKS

Poland is a democracy. We were not.

Poland abandoned a pledge to shelter migrants under a European Union relocation agreement, Prime Minister Beata Szydlo said, shifting her country’s stance a day after suicide bombers killed dozens of people in the bloc’s de-facto capital. 

Poland’s previous government agreed to host several thousand migrants under a deal forged by the EU’s 28 member states to address the hundreds of thousands of mostly Middle Eastern refugees who have arrived in the bloc since last year. The new government, which has repeatedly clashed with the EU’s executive over rule-of-law and other issues since it took power after October elections, has repeatedly said it must eliminate danger when admitting migrants. 

“I will be very clear: at the moment, I don’t see a possibility for migrants to come to Poland,” Szydlo told Superstacja TV on Wednesday. Her spokesman, Rafal Bochenek, later told journalists that the government “can’t allow for events in western Europe to happen in Poland.” 

Poland’s about-face is a blow to pledges made last year to shelter a planned 160,000 refugees in the EU and a deal sealed last week to reduce the flow of refugees arriving on member Greece’s shores from Turkey. Under the new agreement, each Syrian refugee who makes it to the Aegean state will be sent back to Turkey and put at the end of a waiting list for entry, while another person on the waiting in a camp there will be admitted to the bloc. Some 857,000 survived the Aegean passage in 2015, and more than 144,000 have crossed so far this year. 

About 53 percent of Poles were against accepting migrants, according to a January survey by the CBOS center. A lower number, 41 percent, are for offering them temporary shelter, and only 4 percent said the country should allow migrants to settle permanently.

You see, in a democracy, politicians care about what the voters want. In an oligarchy they don't give a damn.

A DAMNING FAILURE TO COMPREHEND

The Wall Street Journal headline this morning reads, Attack Highlights Belgian Failure To Roll Up Extremist Network

​Interviews and court documents related to last summer’s trial portray dozens of young people connected by a loose web of extended families and friends who live in the predominantly Muslim neighborhoods of the Belgian capital. A few key people served as recruiters there, enlisting these mostly young men to commit petty crimes as a way to finance the pipeline sending men from their neighborhoods to wage jihad in Syria.

Of course that's one of the stupidest articles I've read in the Wall Street Journal in some time. Did they totally fail to notice that Europe/Brussels just took in over a million jihadist muslim men of fighting age from all over Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and north Africa? What need is there for some petty local network of thieves when they imported their own destruction by the hundreds of thousand? They opened the doors wide to welcome their own killers, who, being without any marketable skills, are paid by the state to do nothing but plot how to kill as many people as possible in the name of islam, just like they were doing at home in Arabia and north Africa.

Dancing is forbidden and music is forbidden and yet still the observers see them writhe in righteous pleasure at killing and do not consider them insane. Of course, we're talking now about Europe which sees bathing in the blood of its enemies as good wholesome sport for the masses. Each time a demagogue steps up to the levers of social media power and tries to call for policy reform and demand attention be paid to the tribe, he is bundled into a prison as quickly as the State can move. So, there is nothing to worry about.

It's kind of interesting watching the Europeans recreate the late 20's and early 30's right here in front of us. It's as if they remember nothing and forget nothing, all at the same time. I'm trying to think what happened the last time the nationalists were crushed by the elites in Europe. It had something to do with beer if I remember correctly.

Think of all the islamic countries, places and societies that have decided to hop off the train and refuse civilization. All of them deciding they're not going to stay in the 21st century and leaping off that rascally train to the future.

ON THE NATURE OF RADICALS

It's kind of amusing today to refer to the men who drafted and signed the Declaration of Independence as 'radicals', but among what passes for our modern liberal society, that name seems to fit them. When you think about it though, all that they wanted was their rights as free Englishmen, who were forced by their government to stand up and demand them. So, not really all that radical.

There is another group of adventuress adventurous radicals these days. They wrap themselves snugly in the 7th century AD ramblings of a child molester evil man and behave pretty much like he did during his time on earth, 1400 years ago. These people are also called 'radicals' by what passes for our muslim liberal President, and he denies decries their behavior every other time they step out from behind a bush and slash some American's throat or kill a roomful of Americans at a Christmas Party.

Words have meaning. Labels are applied for a reason. I think the tyrant who rules by decree and his loyal socialist believers, in and out of the media, really think they can equate the founders with the current crop of islamic jihadists. Maybe if you step back, close one eye and kind of twist your head a little to the left, they look and act the same.... or maybe not so much.

ANOTHER TYPICALLY MODEST DEFIANT PROPOSAL

All those Syrian migrants that President Obama wants to bring over in order to enhance our security by importing a better breed of peaceful muslim could be easily accommodated in world class beach resort facilities at Guantanamo Bay. I'm sure they'll fit right into the President's Socialist Paradise and that way everybody will be happy. If Cuba is good enough for the Mayor of Chicago and his family, it has to be good enough for Obama and the muslim army headed this way across the Atlantic. If we give the JV ISIS from Syria a few bucks I'm pretty sure we could arrange with Castro to have them turned loose in Havana.

The world appears to have settled into reverse for a bit and I'm trying to ignore it but it bleeds through everything. One literally cannot observe American news without boggling at the stupidity of Hillary Clinton and the concomitant reality that democrats will vote for her en masse because there is nobody else in the field that comes close. Still, this is over the top even for them, isn't it?

How lost to reality must one be to hold the position that muslims have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism? I've seen the numbers and they aren't good. A moderate muslim won't lift a finger to stop, hinder or protest the actions of the most fundamental muslim terrorist. That way lies death and they know it. It's always been that way. You thought Salman Rushdie unique because every muslim wants him dead for blasphemy? Think again. Many don't know or care about him but they won't support his right to flout the muslim law that demands he be killed on sight for blasphemy.

IN MEMORIAM: PAX AMERICA 1945-2008

It was a very nice place, Europe, once. Why it seems to cycle from absolute bottom dead center of humanity to uplifted humanity and back again is beyond me. I'm looking forward to hearing that the news media and our President, State Department and TV pundits were all blindsided by the violence or the overnight rise of nationalist parties throughout Europe.

Hindsight is going to show who generated the massive waves of muslim migration and violence by systematically destroying all the reeds supporting peace in the Middle East; starting with Israel, then Mubarek in Egypt, our 'friend' Qadafi in Libya, the ruler of Yemen, and the red line that invited the dissolution of Syria when the "junior varsity" moved in and started destroying the Assad regime with nothing but approval from the U.S State Department and President Obama. We haven't even touched on Obama selling the atomic bomb to Persia.

Nobody on earth does violence the way that Europeans do. I think the world has forgotten that.

ON FARAGE

As I was reading way into the night I was struck by this passage,

Labour’s new leader sees a moral equivalence between 9/11 and the assassination of bin Laden, and associates with every variety of women-hating, queer-bashing, Jew-baiting jihadi, holocaust denier and 9/11 truther. His supporters know it, but they don’t care.

I had to double check and see if the author was talking about Farage about whom the labor party said the most amazingly vile things. I find it fundamentally funny that people who vote for a thing like Corbyn could evidence such visceral hate for a genuine man who hasn't harmed anybody or palled around with jihadis, terrorists, or the rest of the despicable brew that make up and support the labor party of Britain and our democrats. I have to be careful because in my country the majority voted for labor's evil counterpart here and brought us a leader so deeply un-American its like has never been seen here before. We elected a man who hates and despises his own country. I suppose the British left are merely following in our footsteps.

The only way to defeat evil is to fight it.

Oh well, we have a long history of dragging each other into the good fight against evil.
