MISCONDUCT IN THE LAW HAS NO PENALTY
There is too much truth to this graphic depiction of what the police have turned into during the course of their War On Drugs. They took every single one of your rights as an American citizen and chucked them under their Urban Riot Control cast-off ex M60 tank and that includes your right to bear weapons for your own defense and your right to .... well, let's just say all of them.
In return they have given you the citizen what, exactly?

After the fiasco the judge decided to share with the public what she thought of the utterly corrupt and contemptible District Attorneys involved and all the Federal and local cops involved in the attack on the Bundy's.
Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy could have spent the rest of his life in jail, but instead he walked away Monday a free man, the case against him and his sons thrown out over what the judge decried as “outrageous” misconduct by federal prosecutors.
In a stunning rebuke, U.S. District Court Chief Judge Gloria Navarro scolded the prosecution for violating the due process rights of the four defendants — Cliven Bundy, his sons Ammon and Ryan, and Ryan Payne — and dismissed the case “with prejudice,” meaning they cannot be retried on felony conspiracy and firearms charges stemming from the 2014 Nevada standoff.
“The court finds that the universal sense of justice has been violated,” said Judge Navarro, appointed to the bench by President Barack Obama in 2010, as reported by the Arizona Republic.

STUPID RUNS RAMPANT IN BALTIMORE
Can you imagine teaching in a school system where exactly no students could pass a test? I wonder how indescribably grim and horrible a school must be where whatever it is they do there, it doesn't include studying English or math. Don't get me wrong, I hated to study English and math but I knew that me being there from daybreak until dusk was the price I was going to pay irregardless of whether or not I actually learned anything and I might as well apply myself to learning.
I still can't write but my math is precious to me because it is such a rare and confined little smattering of arithmetic. All the stuff with x's, imaginary numbers and anything in brackets is lost and gone forever and might never have been if you look at my school transcripts. Still. I can do arithmetic and long division and there was never in my life anytime that I needed to work out the square root of anything or calculate the area under the slope of any given line.
As a Fire Control Officer on a missile firing destroyer I had one occasion to use math. I had to calculate the super elevation of the missile launcher and put that number into the missile firing plan that I wrote for our one and only missile shoot after we left Todd Shipyard and the tender mercies of NSWS. Oddly enough, that is pronounced as 'nemesis' and by God they were mine. Anyhow, a little geometry remained and was just enough to calculate the angle for a plan that nobody else ever read and, from the results, nobody who was briefed on it, paid any attention to.
How do I know that? Well, throughout the plan I plagiarized the crap of the Pacific Missile Range's plans for missile firing ships which included multiple and repeated warning about NOT RECOVERING any drones that suffered their expected fate and GOT SHOT DOWN. We no sooner shot down the BQM-34 and the CO was putting the rudder hard over to head to the scene of the splash and start recovering the debris. It took the Range Safety Officer tugging on his cape to keep the CO from salvaging the slivers that remained afloat and hauling them aboard. It was a very weird ship.
But back to Baltimore. Why? Why would ANYBODY spend their life teaching in a place like that where nobody at all, not one, wants to learn? It must be nothing more than a nursery school for older kids who must hate being there even more than the teachers hate it. It's like Hell with a school bus.
I don't think there could ever be a dawn that breaks where students or teachers get up and actually look forward to the 8 hours they're going to spend in confinement with the drug dealers, pushers, rapists, murderers and whatnot because what do you get out of a school system that fails to instruct in civilization? You get anti-civilization and you get it good and hard.
My God, can you imagine employers in and around Baltimore who need to hire workers, counter help, cashiers, stock boys? Where do they get employees and do they dread hiring the way I dread going to the dentist? You know who else can't use people from these schools? Yeah, the employer of last resort (supposedly). The Armed Forces make you take a test before they let you in and if you fail the test, they don't want you. Thank God!
Public schools are mandated by the law. They used to have fairly robust organizations devoted to seeing that everyone attended school, everyone had their shots up to date, everybody could pass a physical exam and read an eye chart and everyone got exposed to math, history and English. Civil society thought they were the basic grounding for leading an exemplary American life. For some time now everyone has been content with the old fake it till you make it school of thought and that is what we are turning out; little toxic blooms of anti-civilization to dwell in the deep city and keep alive a world out of time. They prey on civilization and as long as they last, they insist that they are smarter than you.
In the war we never fought we used to describe incoming soviet missiles hitting 'important' targets because they, like us, were targeting cities. As one looks back to that non-war, one wonders.....How many cities could we trade in the calculus of thermo-nuclear war? We could easily start with Baltimore. If you read the words to the side of this post, you can see how I feel about the old cities.
These schools are literally across the street from me. There's 3 of them. They're all 100 years old. As you can see, the fabric of civilization quickly decays.
I remember driving by a Nashville school with a similar cornerstone. I thought it remarkable that children could still learn in such an old building. In retrospect, nothing remarkable about it. Kids haven't changed, instruction should not have changed and the surroundings are a mere bagatelle.

IT'S NO LONGER A KNIFE FIGHT
I updated my post about the Berkeley battle below but it's worth repeating and making a few other points. If you read the police report about the attack on First Amendment marchers by the fascists calling themselves antifa and black bloc, you will see that several of them were taken into custody by the cops, who were otherwise useless, for assault, battery, and carrying switchblades.
The people take note. When one side starts to bring knives to a street fight the intent is obvious. They mean to kill and maim and they thought they could get away with it. In a way it's an indicator that the violence level will ratchet up and that both sides will, in future combats, have along people carrying guns, much the way that one riot started so many decades ago just a little south of here at Kent State. It took just one lunatic (probably an FBI mole in the Peace Movement) who fired a gun he carried to the riot and the hapless National Guard then opened fire on the demonstrators.
That is what the next major tussle will probably bring and it will be done by a boy who thinks he can get away with it. I can see the Fascist Party hacks (young men in their 20's) telling a young teenager to shoot the weapon they give him because, as they will tell him, as an underage youth he cannot be charged as an adult and he can get away with a juvie sentence.
If you were of a particular persuasion and the kind of sociopath these guys prove to be, the lives of your fellow demonstrators don't matter any more than the lives of your enemy and you won't be deterred from shooting a few in the name of the movement, whatever it is. It's like all those 'wildfires' that seem to have 'spontaneously' lit themselves throughout the west and the south after 9/11. They say fire needs oxygen, fuel, and heat. In a lot of cases all it needs is hate.

70 million registered democrats in this country. Easily the largest political party in North America and it came up with just one candidate, one shoefly and a Marxist from central casting. Are there any democrats out there wondering how they came down to Hillary Clinton, the most toxic candidate in history as their standard bearer? Do they recall that Bernie isn't even a Democrat? There's probably a couple of democrats somewhere in Boca Chica muttering that they could have eaten a handful of alligator crap and puked a better candidate.
It didn't turn out well for the massive reptilian monster and it didn't end well for Smaug either.

HOPING THEY BOTH LOSE
There appears to be a breakdown in relations between Arabia and Persia. That's never happened before and it doesn't bode well for the oil burners of the present and future. It's a good thing Europe has an almost purely atomic powered electrical grid and doesn't need anything from the Middle East.
It's at times like this that I am always amused by the thundering herd who bleat about the dangers of Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz because somehow that will have negative effects on Persia's enemies. Yep, for all the talk about it as a tactic, the illuminati never wonder where Persia is going to sell its own oil products if it cannot move them out of the Persian Gulf. As far as I know they still don't have any new oil ports on the North Arabian Sea and let's all laugh at the idea of them building a pipeline through Kurdistan.
The interesting offbeat is that the countries have no power to damage each other without slitting their own economic throats. Yes, historically both regions were insanely dangerous to each other but that was when they could fight each other through southern Iraq. That's not really possible anymore. Iran and Iraq fought up and down the Al Faw Peninsula for 8 years without making any significant progress. The Kingdom and the Emirates were happy to fund Saddam and his Army against the mad mullahs because everybody was in complete agreement that it was way better for Iraq to fight Iran than to turn its eyes and armies toward Arabia. And besides, nobody likes a crazy mad shiite mullah.
The two sides fought the Tanker War against defenseless ships which saw almost daily air raids on oil terminals in Iran and Iraq and attacks on all neutral oil tankers in the Arabian Gulf. None of the countries involved built, owned or operated the oil tankers attacked but neither Iran nor Iraq suffered any particular downside to blindly attacking them as soon as they could be found. Trust me, it's not hard to find a VLCC tanker.
It will be interesting to see if the Saud's close the door to all Persians interested in making the Haj next year. It's also time to start speculating about the first use of nukes since the last time they were used on "the other." With their help, we went a long way towards dehumanizing Japanese and made enormous strides in cleaving them, root and branch, from civilization. We did the same with Germans too. Sunnis and Shia adopted that strategy over a thousand years ago and no longer see the other as human or made in a form pleasing to God. The million dinar question is, will they put business before pleasure and nuke civilization first or just yield to their heart's desire and nuke the apostates first?
Think about it. In an insane and inept war fought by two muslim superpowers, they united to attack....neutrals and civilization. They both found that there was no 'Center-of-Gravity' worth attacking in either Iraq or Iran. Even if the capital fell to attack or destruction, it wouldn't affect the levee en masse of the militant muslims making up the force. Look at Afghanistan. The Taliban fought all comers for a generation and then fought the Northern Alliance to a standstill but there was no end to the war even though there was no means to go on.
The two can engage in futile irritating tit-for-tat strikes on each other but to little point and no advantage. I think they'll both turn to attacking civilization in the hope that they will get from us, sitting at the negotiation table, what they cannot get from each other. Will we do the historic thing and send both sides $billions in order to keep them from our throats as Europeans did with the Barbary Pirates, or will we happily invest a little in helping them all slit their own throats?

CHANCELLOR OF THE FREE WORLD
Angela Merkel made it as Time Magazine's Thug of the Year with this quote, according to The Independent, “In many regions war and terror prevail. States disintegrate. For many years we have read about this. We have heard about it. We have seen it on TV. But we had not yet sufficiently understood that what happens in Aleppo and Mosul can affect Essen or Stuttgart. We have to face that now.” The Independent clearly left off her final words on the subject, "now that I've imported their war, savagery, and appreciation for islamic terrorism into Germany."

A LITTLE SOUTH SIDE OF CHICAGO
The Mayor of Chicago is displeased now that we know he is planning on spending his vacation in the only part of Chicago where "Gun control works Dammit!!" The Mayor was heard to scream, 16 bullets! Jesus Christ, it doesn't take 16 bullets to kill a boy! One would do it! The Mayor went on to suggest to his new Police Commissar that he arm his troops appropriately and give them some real firepower so they don't have to reload Go& Dammit!
The mayor called in his federal buddies to conduct real training on how to take a boy into custody.
The new commissar did get the mayor to admit that the only reason there was no gunfire in that incident was because his federal buddies have shown an overwhelming enthusiasm for killing babies, innocent young women or anybody else they find at the place where they just created a crime scene.
The mayor and his family are looking forward to their vacation in the kleptodystopian paradise of the Republic of Cuba. Mayor admits that the swim back to Miami will be "bracing but at least with global warming we won't freeze in the equatorial Gulf Stream as we swim to the US with the poor Cubanrefugees migrants who can't afford a ticket or a boat."

RETROGRADE ORBIT
The world appears to have settled into reverse for a bit and I'm trying to ignore it but it bleeds through everything. One literally cannot observe American news without boggling at the stupidity of Hillary Clinton and the concomitant reality that democrats will vote for her en masse because there is nobody else in the field that comes close. Still, this is over the top even for them, isn't it?
How lost to reality must one be to hold the position that muslims have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism? I've seen the numbers and they aren't good. A moderate muslim won't lift a finger to stop, hinder or protest the actions of the most fundamental muslim terrorist. That way lies death and they know it. It's always been that way. You thought Salman Rushdie unique because every muslim wants him dead for blasphemy? Think again. Many don't know or care about him but they won't support his right to flout the muslim law that demands he be killed on sight for blasphemy.
It's a bit like global warming hysteria. All of the most detailed and carefully measured data in the world HAS GOT TO BE MASSAGED by warmists in order to force it to correspond to the 'reality' they believe is imposed by their MODELS. That's not reality though. It doesn't even look that way and yet watching the major media and the democrats spin all this fakery is getting old. Like poor Mars, they don't even notice that they are going backward whilst shouting Progress!

VERY SAD NEWS FROM FRANCE
In Occupied France it appears that the muslims have struck another blow for allah. It's a real shame but it is no surprise. It was, after all, just a matter of time.

Until Obama came along, I would have sworn that nobody could be consistently wrong about everything all the time. He was ably backed up by his French looking sidekick who loyally supported the president:

Does his elliptical eminence mean that we're going to nuke Damascus in the spirit of The Reign of Terror that ruled the First French Republic? Because, yeah, that's going to work... Still, it looks like the King of Ignorance has finally come close to meaning the message he meant to say. This time the muslims really did carry out attacks on random French citizens. Not at all like those "random" attacks they carried out at Charlie Hebdo and a kosher deli in Paris earlier this year before French Premier Valls declared that France is in a “war against terrorism, against jihadism, against radical Islamism, against everything that is intended to break fraternity, liberty, solidarity,” Unfortunately, France has a really ugly track record when it comes to war since the death of Napoleon.
My advice remains unchanged, "You Better Arm Yourself."

THE VW CUTTERS
I hate whiners who deliberately use their influence with the people's elected and unelected commissars to make the free market the sick and twisted un-level playing field that it has become in the hands of government and regulators. A sad case in point is the way Leonid Bershidsky, a writer at Bloomberg View moans about how VW and others influenced the unelected ruling class in Europe in order to push their advantage in automotive diesel engines. Leonid says that they should be punished for using their influence.
The Volkswagen emissions scandal has broader implications than the potential damage it can do to Europe's biggest carmaker. It's the result of Europe backing the wrong emissions-reducing technology on a regulatory level. There is now an opportunity to reverse that error and force the continent's сar manufacturers to concentrate on hybrid and electric vehicles. They've got the technology and resources to reshape the market.
The scandal is about VW's bad business decision to cheat testing equipment so it could rush new engine models to market in the U.S. It is also about a failure of regulatory oversight and testing technology. Most of all, however, it's about diesel engines: They were the ones performing so badly on the tests that VW engineers had to look for a workaround so marketers could trumpet the advent of "clean" diesel.
VW had an advantage in diesel technology, which it wanted to leverage in the U.S., for a reason. In the mid-1990s, the European Commission and European Union member countries' governments started a campaign of massive intervention to stimulate the use of diesel engines in cars. At the beginning of that decade, Europe and Japan had about 10 percent of diesel automobiles on the road.It's funny how the whiners always object to 'other' people using their influence on the government but see no harm, no foul when they do it themselves.

PITY THE POOR SPARTANS
As I drove home from our Maine vacation I had the chance to listen to the radio as various voices discussed the Greek issue. Listening to the lengths to which Athens has gone to debate what is essentially an easy binary decision has given me renewed pity for Leonides and the men who waited in vain at Thermopolye for Athens to end debate and come to their aid in defending Greece.
What I don't understand is, who would loan Greece any money at all? Why?

READ THE LATEST FATWA
There is a bit of a dustup going on at the Northwestern University gulag and it is interesting to me on several fronts. It concerns an outright attack on intellectual freedom, freedom of speech and what used to pass for civility. A wannabe member of the senior cult clergy had this to say about what was written by a professor in response to her own concerns about the use of the cult religion in the persecution and a sordid attempt to fire another professor at the gulag using Title IX as their weapon.

But Kipnis' op-ed was alarmingly inaccurate. And immediately after its publication, several individuals reached out to her directly to correct the myriad misrepresentations of fact that she harmfully published as gospel. Kipnis acknowledged these emails, but refused to correct the record, suggesting instead that folks simply agree to disagree. That's a strange response, a bit like telling a math tutor that you "agree to disagree," or a civil engineer who's concerned about the integrity of your bridge, or... you get the point. When someone in a position to know reaches out to let you know that you're off base, one tends to think the appropriate response is anything but Kipnis'....because faith is their only guide and the cult is their only true path to salvation and so deviationists will be placed on their knees and dealt with in a manner consistent with all tyrannies that despise intellectuals and disbelievers.

BARBARY PIRATES GO TO TEXAS...AND DIE
There was a shooting of two 'gunmen' who opened fire on a security gunman who was standing around making sure that no islamic terrorists could succeed in attacking a group of people celebrating the best cartoon depiction of infamous pederast Mohammed. This Daily Mail story gives more details.
It has been many hours since these 'gunmen' attacked the art show but there has been no word at all on their identity or intent and yet these kind of scumbags are notorious for bringing along their manifesto and maybe even a video tape explaining their need to kill unbelievers. I find it odd that the press and security services have clamped down on the identity of the wannabe killers.
I note also that the Agency has blacked out the cartoons lest some loony muslim go berserk and randomly burn down homes, offices, Baltimore, etc, yet they did not make any effort to conceal the identity of the winner of the draw mohammed contest and left his name and image right up there in their photos of the incident of the attack. We know more about a peaceful man than we do about his wannabe killers.
What this translates to in my mind is that anybody at all who draws and posts a picture of mohammed should have automatic right to concealed carry a weapon in every state in America because, by God when the muslims catch up to him/her they aren't always going to have armed SWAT standing around waiting to intercept the killers.
This country is starting to resemble the caliphate in Iraq/Syria. With all the unregulated spying on every call made by all Americans, why isn't law enforcement picking these scum off long before they launch their attacks? After Snowden's leaks they really don't have a leg to stand on and tell us that they don't monitor EVERY CALL MADE AND RECEIVED in the world and EVERY EMAIL sent anywhere. Our inability to be pro-active is almost British now. Find them and deport them.

FAIR GAME, OPEN SEASON
I spent 3 hours today with one of the most liberal and progressive people I know. We always agree on things because I enjoy and treasure my little sister's company. It was the most amazing thing to sit there in her kitchen in my slippers, black shorts and pink Maine Maritime t-shirt and hear her, who has no guns, agree that we've reached the point where no citizen who shoots a cop breaking into a house can be branded a murderer.
I tend to think of her as unworldly but she isn't. We referenced the killing above and several other incidents where the cops did the full judicial murder.
The cops themselves have made themselves victims of justifiable homicide.
When both she and I are done with the law, the nation is done with the law. I don't think the police are going to like it.

COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS AND OUR DEAR LEADER
As I watch the violence in Ferguson and the masses of fools who decided to block freeways from Cleveland to San Diego and who barge into carol ceremonies screaming hate at 7 year olds, I am struck by how very well organized it all is.

Community organizing is most identified with the left-wing Chicago activist Saul Alinsky (1909-72), who pretty much defined the profession. In his classic book, Rules for Radicals,
Alinsky wrote that a successful organizer should be “an abrasive agent to rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; to fan latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expressions.” Once such hostilities were “whipped up to a fighting pitch,” Alinsky continued, the organizer steered his group toward confrontation, in the form of picketing, demonstrating, and general hell-raising. At first, the organizer tackled small stuff, like demanding the repair of streetlights in a city park; later, when the group gained confidence, the organizer could take on bigger targets.
But at all times, the organizer’s goal was not to lead his people anywhere, but to encourage them to take action on their own behalf.Now that does sound like our Dear Leader doesn't it?
