THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF SAUD

Many Americans rejoice at what they perceive as a liberal wave sweeping over the Arabian Peninsula and are glad to see that once again Saudis can go to movies and women can drive cars and that the new Crown Prince seems to be open to liberal and progressive thoughts that first swept the world 200 years ago. I'm not so sanguine. This same sort of liberal outbreak occured once before in another Kingdom bordering the Persian Gulf and it did not end well for the people, the ruling elite or the country. It looks like the Crown Prince has disciplined the House of Saud but I don't really see any sign that he has revoked the powers of the Mutawa or in any way, shape or form reduced the militant demands of the most militant and intolerant religion on the planet. He has, perhaps, won the war over family but it is not yet seen that he has even engaged in the war with the mullahs and unlike the West, religion is the ONLY thing that matters in the Kingdom.

The Crown Prince has acted as the bottom has fallen out of the petroleum industry and reduced OPEC to a floundering helpless wreck of its former self. The floor price for a barrel of oil needed to keep the Kingdom solvent is history and won't be seen again for decades, if ever. Even as he brings the family to heel and starts to round up the money he is faced with external revolt and war in Yemen and external rebellion and war in Syria and a grasping Egypt who needs billions of Saudi petrodollars in subsidies every year to feed its massive population. It doesn't look good now and that doesn't count what happens when his shiites go up in flames next year and lay waste to the oil producing parts of Saudi Arabia.

While some are getting optimistic about Arabia I sense doom closing in. Their repeated and failed efforts to put Saudis to work in the workforce have largely been in vain for nothing. They do not produce anything and if they did they couldn't compete with the rest of the world.

There isn't a meme yet that I know of but then I haven't looked. It is kind of interesting to watch the media unable to help itself at all as it skids into dung heap after dung heap while doing their very best to imply that "what the memo is saying is......" Or, so, there is nothing to see here it's just another nothing burger like Benghazi....."

It's like not one single one of democrats took half an hour to watch the Cathy Newman Channel 4 defenestration of Jordan Peterson. Like Newman, who blathered stupidly and inanely in response to Peterson, every one of the so-called media pundits poo poos the memo as meaningless and signifying nothing and restates it to show that it is very clear, from the memo, that aliens did not land and take over Hillary Clinton's brain and the little people must protect the FBI because, other than the reprobates, child molesters, rapists and villains, they are really very very good at setting up people and sending them to jail even if it means jiggering the FBI Crime Lab for decades and so we should let them get on with the job they were elected appointed by Obama to do.

The memo was as detailed as one can get at the merely TOP SECRET/NOFORN level. To go any deeper would require sacrificing virgins in moonlight on Super Tuesday.

No, the memo won't change anybody's mind about the nature of the attack on our democracy. Americans know it for what it is and so do the enemies of America who persist in thinking there is nothing wrong with using every organ of the State to destroy their enemies at any cost. I'm just kind of surprised that the idiots on the left don't see the optics for what they are. To quote others, this is exactly how we got Trump.

Keep up the good work democrats. We won't get 4 more years of Trump without your every effort bent to the task of reelecting a man who shows every single day that he is about 20 times smarter than all of you put together.

BLINDED BY THE GLARE OF THEIR OWN LIES

The senate democrats made a fundamental mistake. Well, to be honest, they've made millions of mistakes. Their latest screw up can be described as monumental and it is based on their own limitations and the limitations they have spent decades meting out to their ideological enemies on the center and the right.

Democrats in Washington DC read the New York Times and the Washington Post. They subscribe to those papers. They only watch PBS and the former big 3; NBC, CBS, ABC and will only willingly open their eyes if CNN or MSNBC is on the telly. They literally don't see anything from the rest of the world. Naturally, they tend to think that all democrats are just like what they see on TV and read in the papers who, influenced by the NYT and the rest of the propagandists, will support and defend their representatives who are eager to show their dedication and strike a blow for gays and trans and illegal aliens.

As with Flounder in Animal House, they fucked up. They trusted that the media was getting it right and reporting reality. Unfortunately, their media hasn't gotten it right since the NYT sent Walter Duranty ¹ to Russia to report on the successful Bolshevik Revolution and got back nothing but lies and damned lies and lapped them up as truth.



The media lies to the people in this country and always has. When the media were a monoculture controlled by the left wing and the communists, it quickly eliminated any vestige of accuracy, honesty or truth from its reporting. You know this is so simply based on how many democrats are absolutely convinced that Cuba is a worker's paradise and the Soviet Union was a just and fair society right up until Yeltsin and Putin overthrew Gorbachev and the enormous number of democrats who think that Venezuelans just haven't fully implemented the socialism that democrats here in America preach as the beginning of Utopia on earth.

What happened though, for the first time, is that the democratic ruling elite actually drank the cool aid and believed the crap that the media broadcasts as news. They lapped it up like it was Kentucky's finest bourbon. They totally believed that all proper thinking well indoctrinated Americans would rather shut down the government in order to support bringing in more illegals than would support that evil devil Trump.

God were they played by their own weapon. The media let them down.

For believing all the lies and drivel they read from their own propaganda organs they were blindsided by the hate they got from their own constituents and, as shown by the hasty nature of the vote, McConnell let them off easy for being stupid and blind. 31 senators changed the 'minds' in just three days and voted to approve a continuing resolution and there is just about zero chance that anybody is going to push a bill saddling President Trump with DACA. That was Obama's personal mistake and it is the Democrats huge burden and only a thunderously stupid jackass like Flake or McCain would let them try to offload any part of that suicide pact on republicans or the rest of us.

It's not the first weapon to turn in the slime coated hands of democrats in Washington. Their weaponization of the executive branch and its agencies has taken a terrible toll on America over the last 8 years and is only now beginning to be revealed. They thought that their ownership of Hillary gave them ownership of the DNC and that ownership of the DNC gave them ownership of all computers on Capital Hill and that their agents in the FBI and Justice Department would wage successful war and pull off a stunning coup ridding America of it's elected President. Sadly for them, all of this is coming out now into the light of day.

There are an awful lot of evil people who worked from within the government to topple the Constitution and they all need to go to jail for a long time. The people really need to keep an eye on their government and make damned sure they don't set up an untouchable secret police state to run things behind the scenes. FISA has to go. The government has no right to spy on us. None at all.

Kurt Schlicter has something to say about the government shutdown. I think what he wrote just about covers the facts.

To the extent that a shut-down hurts some of the government’s few useful employees, like the members of our military, I eagerly look forward to Chuck n’ Nancy and the other circus freaks who make up the Democrat Capitol Crew explaining to the American people why they chose to make our men and women in uniform suffer so the Democrats can import some new ballot stuffers. “Support the troops unless we need to screw them over so we can ship in foreigners to vote for future Maryland Senator Chelsea Manning” seems like a flawed message, which is why I heartily encourage the Dems to try it out.

We all saw the elaborate kabuki theater of the last shut-down, where Obama’s minions took a break from using our intelligence services to spy on Felonia Milhous von Pantsuit’s political enemies and made sure that the shut-down effects were as public and inconvenient as possible. The Democrat media soiled itself with delight as it covered sad schoolkids forbidden to gaze upon the Washington Monument because the GOP hates children, the Washington Monument, and gazing.

This may prove to be more of a test than people realize because previous government shutdowns have mostly been a contest in the Senate to reach the necessary 60 votes to send a bill to the President for signature. This President may be looking a little further downstream than most of his predecessors who were just plain terrified of a government shutdown (most of them were politicians and deeply worried that the American public might discover just how little they actually needed the government). All the theater now is about getting the 60 votes and few are talking about whether or not President Trump will sign a bill that flies in the face of his base.

President Trump is not a politician and he can look a little further downstream and see that just letting another 700,000 democrats stay here necessarily means, based on current law, that they can drag in 30,000,000 more people like them and let's not forget what kind of people we're talking about. We're talking about the kind of people that voted Hugo Chavez and Maduro into power and undertook the destruction of Venezuela because they thought price controls set by the government would keep prices down and looting the stores was justified if they were hungry. They're the same kind that love rent control and moan and cry about the lack of affordable housing.

I think there might be just one or two men left in Congress that have even a shred of sense when it comes to the future and long term consequences of constantly caving in to the sort of people that think Stalin was a statesman and Chavez and Castro were popular leaders who made good things happen to their countries and constituents. One of them just got back to work after being blind-sided by a democratic thug a couple of months ago while moving his grass.

The one surprise tonight as I watched the government shut down was the total absence of the human stain known as McCain.

The blog title comes from a movie I saw as a boy in Fort Riley. It had the wonderful tale of Br'er Rabbit and what the Senate did tonight looks a lot like the situation Br'er Rabbit found himself in when he appeared terrified of being thrown into the briar patch. As I see it, the democrats just tossed Br'er Trump into the briar patch.

AWFUL OVERWHELMING COMPULSION

Yep, the democrats in Congress are going to yield to the base impulse that motivates them the most and they are going to shut down the government of the people, by the people, for the people because democrats think illegal aliens are way way way more important than mere subjects of their particular realm.

You can see the same idiocy in California where local governments are deciding to divert millions of taxpayer $ to hire legal defense teams for the illegal aliens trying and fighting to stay in our country. That's right little Suzy and Bobbie, the libraries in your towns will close so smug lawyers can be paid $300.00/hour to defend the indefensible. Those potholes in municipal roads and homeless shelters will have to be put on hold because democrats demand all your $ go to the so-called dreamers.

A good liar can draw it out for hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of dollars. California is stuffed with good liars.

I'm not altogether sure the democrats know what dreams are. They are content with the dreams of rape and pillage that seem to motivate so many criminals who entered our country illegally and they sure don't know anything about Martin Luther King's dreams but that probably would be asking too much of them. I see that 55% of people who vote democrat are illiterate and therefor unfamiliar with the truth and blinded by the propaganda put out by the various ministries of truth dominated by the liberal progressives in the media, PBS, NPR and blue state governments.

Saw this at instapundit and it's too good to not post here. If you read the story you'll see that the most senior members of the FBI took it on themselves to send Martin Luther King, Jr, a letter telling him that he should kill himself. If that sounds a little more humane than the FBI we've come to know, it's only because the Supreme Court and the rest of the judicial system now allows anyone with a badge to just shoot anyone without a badge. Things were a little different in the 1960s so the FBI resorted to its famous 'soft power' approach to dealing with uppity citizens.

I had a moment of introspection tonight not seen too often around these parts. I was reading the story about a software engineer who is suing his former company for firing him illegally and I thought I might write more about that and what I think about a company that is so blatantly and disgracefully racist and sexist and then I thought about what I would lose if that company behaves in the disgraceful and contemptible manor I have come to expect from social justice wrecked institutions like twitter and face book and SFWA and I decided that I would wait until I have stored my online email offline and perhaps backed up one or two other things that could vanish in a twinkling were some SJW loser to take umbrage at being called a spade just because he is used to dig latrines in which to bury his fellow man after the ritual pummelling and social torture meted out to those who dare to dream that America could be great again.

WHY WE HAVE ROPE

I saw this at another blog and thought about it for a second. It's true. I too, never voted in another California election after this happened but then, my vote never counted there and by the time the primaries reached us, the country had already winnowed it down to one die-hard commie and one loser moron. It really wasn't worth the trouble, but most especially after Prop. 8 got tossed AFTER THE PEOPLE VOTED FOR IT.

Just remember when people tell you elections matter that it is your duty to vote for the party that doesn't always use the courts to legislate. Why would you give up all your power as a voter to a non-elected lawyer who finds penumbras or whole-heartedly believes in discrimination now! Discrimination tomorrow! Discrimination for 20 more years!

Srsly people, it's time to take back the power of the people. Imagine, you let an Ethics Body of this Congress or the last 10 Congresses, toss out the will of the voter because a handful of politicians held that the voters had elected an unethical man. It's not like THEY EVER DID.

Vote for Ray Moore or don't. I don't care. I just despise the way the democrats keep leaping to any and every way to disenfranchise the voters. It's not enough that they encourage their true believers to shoot and kill republicans, they keep wanting to use law to make republicans ineligible to play in politics.

I know there's a perfectly normal reason that the SJWs working at Twitter decided to emphasis their power over the freedom of speech by squelching President Trump's twitter account this evening. Way to go buffoons! If there was no impetus to push Twitter and facebook into forced breakup hearings in the government, this confirmed that bias exists in both twitter and facebook and that it is naturally destructive to democracy.

FILE SUIT FOR FUN AND PROFIT

The Democrats are not the only organization that openly discriminates in the most blatant and openly officious manner possible while expecting to get away with it like they're the incarnation of Roman Polanski or Harvey Weinstein and free to screw over white men with nary a hint of guilt, remorse or even a troubled conscience. They're like sharks.

In all honesty, just about every organization in America that hires or fires people tends to obsess first over the race and then the sex and ethnicity of their employees. Now the shoe is pinching the other foot. Just think of the fun you can have by using some of the enormous number of tools at your disposal such as nolo.com and cheaply and easily filing suits in the federal courts and with the EEOC. Hours of fun and making your leisure time productive, all while working at home!

Remember, if you don't exercise your federal rights they get all flabby and unsightly, so file early and file often!

It appears that the House is finally ready to man up and investigate the Hillary and Bill Clinton Corruption Foundation with a special focus on the Uranium fleecing of America.

THE UNIVERSAL REVOLT

Every now and then I run across the tatters of the old universe and it strikes a chord. Today I read that some Congressional democrats have declared that hi-capacity magazines kill people. I was touched by their concern and their obvious intelligence as they quickly concluded that the best way to save lives is to banish hi-capacity magazines because that's what they do. In the same vein, they might consider liquidating everyone over the age of 18 since older people do most of the killing.

In a similar vein, I ran across the People's Radio today and their show with Mike, the AG from Mississippi, a state that would otherwise never trouble to pass the lips or indeed the thoughts of a true liberal progressive democrat so lost to modern democracy is it that even the cows reliably vote rethuglican. Mike, the guy who was the very first to launch the anti-smoking campaign, sued big tobacco and won, sort of. Instead of outright declaring tobacco illegal like everything else, the government and the lawyers decided to milk it for the money that was in selling a product to the addicted. They are no different from pushers. They'll use the revenues for good, they said.

Mike has a new campaign and is launching a war on the makers of pain medication and doctors who write prescriptions for people in serious pain. Mike thinks we can make opioids just as safe and legal and rare as abortion, or something like that. Man sounded like a complete lunatic as he declared war on the number one, in big pharma, to make and market Oxycontin and who now sells a whopping 2% of the total number sold. Mike is devoted to ending the opioid epidemic-in which ruthless bloodsuckers and their lawyers make a sort of opioid, add lethal amounts of fentanyl and sell it to poor white trash too stupid and ignorant to know that it's going to kill them.

Amazingly, no addict can even tell if what he's injecting is the lethal drug on the right or the drug on the left

I was left to wonder why nobody made the observation that it wasn't the doctors or the drug companies that were selling the illegal crap, it was real scum of the earth types that the liberal progressives are busting their humps to let out of jail and never send to jail because there's nothing wrong with selling drugs and we should just legalize them and let the sellers sell what the want or what they can make.

I have several problems with all that. When government gets involved and things promptly go in the sewer or, as in Flint, in the potable water, nobody is ever held accountable. Let's just look at the Federal assault on a religious sect in Waco all those years ago. Biggest mass killing in America since the Indian Wars and yet nobody was punished or found at fault or fired or anything. Ditto the EPA fiasco where they blew a hole in a cofferdam and killed a river. Nobody was fired or disciplined or punished. Look at AMTRAK. They sell burgers at $10.00 a pop and still lose $10,000,000,000. There is now loose talk about creating a non-profit like AMTRAK to take over the running, staffing and management of the US Air Traffic Control System. That's right you are thinking, you're gonna work out some other way to get there rather than fly.

I really don't think we can afford to let these idiots mess with our water, our energy, our vital fluids, our drugs or our air traffic control. At any rate, as I thought about the ridiculous depths of this day I was reminded of that great radio show and yes! They are talking about making a 6th radio episode with the original cast back as Arthur Dent, Ford Prefect and Zaphod Beeblebrox. I'm not sure about Trillian.

THE INSANE HATRED OF THE LEFT

They seem to think every single person in their orbit 'feels' the same way they do about President Trump and it certainly isn't worth disabusing them of that notion because their hatred has pushed them over the border into madness and only an idiot would engage in any kind of debate or tussle with a madman.

And this isn’t just about the ravings of a few unhinged loonies on social media (also, it ain’t “a few”). This verbal hyperbole is the leftist establishment’s MO. This is how they intend to strip us of our rights – via a constant campaign of hate that they hope somehow leads to us just giving them up. And it’s not just guns. Free speech? Oh, that’s racist, and it causes violence – by which they mean that leftists will attack you if you attempt to speak freely. Freely exercising your religion? Not if you violate leftist scripture – then you’re a bigot and your livelihood must be destroyed even though Sue and Shelly can wander two doors down and get someone else to decorate their nasty organic carrot wedding cake.

And due process? Well, you must love rape if you think that a young man accused of it should be informed of the charges against him, allowed to cross-examine the witnesses, and have an impartial judge. Do you phallocentric male-identifying men and others have any idea how much harder it is to railroad some guy in the name of smashing the patriarchy when you actually have to prove your case with evidence? Like any woman would ever make up a rape allegation out of whole cloth! A fair trial? That’s something right out of The Handmaid’s Tale! . . .

Anyway, let’s continue our conversation. You’re not going to pin the rampage of some scumbag on millions and millions of people who didn’t do it. You’re not going to leverage this spree into disarming us – which is your ultimate goal. We know how you hate the idea that we are armed and independent, that we hold a lead veto over your fever dreams of tyrannical rule over us. You know how important it is to us to be free citizens; you yearn to humiliate us by stripping us of our self-respect by taking away our means of keeping ourselves free from the tyranny of people like you.

You never cared that 59 people were murdered – some of you, as we have seen, cheered – and I gotta say, it’s a bad look to screech “I’m glad you crackers are dead, now heed my command to give up your guns!”

As Glenn Reynolds says, Lefties are full of hate. It’s their animating spirit. All you have to do is listen to them talk.

I prefer to pass on listening to them talk. One can only take so much vicious omnidirectional hatred for everything that is not ultraleft without losing one's appetite.

BOYCOTT THE NFL

I have decided to boycott the NFL: now and forever. This is no sacrifice on my part. I haven't watched a complete game of football since 1988. I think that one of the reasons I stopped watching was because I somehow had grasped the essential meaning of this little pie chart way back then.

Given the fire in which all men burn, why would anyone waste their time and watch football? It seems like a chump's game to me. There were, growing up, a thousand other things I'd rather be doing and those stayed with me all of my life. I could spend that time outdoors, walking, caving, biking, sailing, going to the beach, going for a drive in the country or reading a book, going to a museum, exploring the cities I lived in or just taking a nap.

I only propose a boycott after the magnificent nonsense this week where President Trump denounced the foul little orcs who disrespect our country and play for the NFL and get paid millions to come out once a week and play a game and the response by the NFL Commissioner who made a statement in reply to President Trump.

So what outrages Goodell and by extension all of the NFL team owners and players is that President Trump had the damned gall to disrespect the NFL, the stupid game and the orcs who play it and he doesn't understand what an overwhelming force for good the orcs have been.

Neat isn't it? President Trump denounces the NFL for disrespecting the United States of America and gets slapped with the wet minnow by Goodell denouncing the President for disrespecting the NFL. Well, I know who I fought for and it sure as hell wasn't the NFL or the game or even the goals of the NFL.

I'm boycotting the NFL and all of its advertisers.

TO LAUGH AND RIDICULE

These are the police or, as some would have it, the po po. Obviously, one is scared of catching black. I like the arm jewelry and wonder why more po po's don't wear fierce looking grills and man buns.

THERE'S SOMETHING MISSING

I hear that one of CNN's hosts was at the riot in Berkeley. Hear the man speak!

W. Kamau Bell, who fronts a show on CNN called the “United Shades of America,” grabbed a bullhorn at the rally and bellowed that "when the Nazis leave, as they have left…you have to stand up for the brown people, the black people, the LGBT people, the immigrants–everybody everyday!” The mob roared in approval.

 I could delve further into the full text of his shoutout for hatred but I'd rather not. I'll simply leave it to the reader to discern what he thinks is most descriptive of everybody who isn't black, brown, LGBT or an immigrant....

That's right, we're all nazis acccording to him and all those like him. And what else did he say up there in that paragraph?
