ARMY SHIPS IN THE PANAMA CANAL

Interesting article about Army LSVs transiting the Panama Canal at gCaptain

Our Army has a lot of really nice ships
You can generally tell they're Army by the fact that like other lubbers, they leave fenders hanging over the sides long after they got underway.

My son isn't army, but he consistently left at least one fender out on his big red ski boat. No more hollering at his mom to pull it inside at speed... the local Russian mafia bought it.

Speaking as a young ski boater, we got hollered at to haul those things aboard the instant we left the pier. It got even more loud in the Navy.
I worked with some of the Army's watercraftmasters/ship captains in Vallejo and Hawaii. Some of the best Warrant Officers I ever met.
