She was the HMS Rose on the east coast of the US and someone I knew sailed her from Boston to Maine one summer. She was bought by the film company making the movie and renamed HMS Surprise after the ship in Patrick O'Brian's books. She is now docked at San Diego on the embarcadero downtown and is part of their maritime museum along with an old Washington State car ferry and a beautiful little boat named Medea and an old Soviet Foxtrot class submarine. The movie was quite good.
