I always thought the B29 was an enormous plane but the only one I ever saw was the Enola Gay. This picture, from
strategy page, shows how incredibly small they were compared to the follow-on long range Air Force bomber.

Size is good if you're dropping "Fat Man" nuclear weapons. And even more if you've got a "Goblin" in your bomb bay.
But the "Aluminum Overcast" is no longer flying operationally - unlike the "Bear". The BUFF is.
The Bear I recall was the D with the Downbeat. It was amazing to me what the detection and counterdetection ranges were on that radar back in the 80s.
