LEAVE US TIME TO GET AWAY

We plan to get away. On a Train! I'm looking forward to it.

With music, I don't hear the words and I seldom know the artist. I actually saw the Moody Blues at the Meadowlands. All of my life, I have listened to this song and said, 'leave us time to get away' while they were singing 'evening'.

Ah, mondegreens! They're fun and I have a few of 'em, too.

I was coming out of anesthesia a little bit ago and the nurse was talking nuke with me. She said her husband worked just up the road at the Periwinkle nuclear power station. Before that, I cited another movie reference to change the name of a street to LACHARNE! For the full effect, you need phlem. I'll just post a link to that in a second. I like Achmed. The deader the better.

Some people suspect I garble the language on purpose. I don't know what they're talking about.

I do garble the language on purpose, occasionally... just to get a reaction.
Have you ever been to the Texas School Book Suppository in Dallas?

I haven't. I stayed a night in a fantastic hotel in Fort Worthy because my father offered me the room. There were pictures on the walls in the room, no refrigerator, no wet bar and the cable was dismal but, it was the place where JFK and whossname spent his last night on earth before driving over to Dallas to get killed.

I used to fly in to Love Field or DFW and rent a car and spend a weekend in the area. Unfortunately, those days are done and I don't have even the faintest reason to return. A lot of people don't know that I used to live in Texas when I was a boy.
