TITLED IN THE MIST

As seen on various blogs but I wanted to add my own because I totally agree. Scott knows all the words I learned as an 8 year old kid picking up paper and Playboy magazines back in the day. Do we even have paper drives anymore?

citizenship.
that's a fine word. worked all my adult life to fix in me a respect for citizenship in the United States of America. At seventy, I have a deep appreciation for my citizenship and service to my country and my fellow citizens. I can think of no punishment as severe as having my citizenship revoked. for some not so good people convicted of felonies, I wonder if showing them the door at the border and locking the door after they pass thru it would be a good thing. where they would go after that I don't care. I should make myself clear on this; I'm not keen on second chances for felons. I don't care for felons breathing my air or taking up space in my country. It was their choice and this is mine for them.
Those "peaceful protestors" LSM keeps telling me who are burning our cities to the ground; I wonder if they have any sense of citizenship. the young are alway susceptible to the wiles of the politician, I include myself in that. It's a shame their education will not allow them to listen to experience and see reality. Their unbridled enthusiasm for change of any kind is preventing them from seeing the results of that change they are demanding. No doubt, the belief that they are fighting the good fight is blinding them to a certain fact. they forget that their's is but one of many voices that a government that should be governing from the middle ground is listening too. pretty sure it's how we ended up with a highly polarized two party system. no grey area.

I should not blog late at night. and so I just deleted everything I wrote. We live in an age where the just are pursued to death by legal means. I'm going to reread Thucydides. I read it twice and it is time to read it again as a civilization perishes right in front of our eyes. He watched it then and wrote about it. I'm watching it now.

Matthew 18 [6] But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Revelation 18 [21] And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
