UNSEEN SEA OF CORRUPTION

It looks like some of us elected a man to send to Washington to drain the swamp and he is under prepared. Not his fault. We both thought he was dealing with a swamp until he got there and found out it's as deep as an ocean and quite a bit wider.

The information put out on Jerry Pournelle's site in an interesting case in point. It appears that Comey is no different from other democrat apparatchiks and probably even worse than Jamie Gorelick who gives every appearance of being one of the most vile people in our history.

What is it with the swamp denizens in DC that they turn the likes of recently fired DNC Chairwoman Wasserman Schultz into their flag bearers and champions even if they know they are liars and charlatans? And now you don't hear about the lawyers for the DNC case down in Florida telling the court that the DNC is in no way bound by the will of the electorate and the DNC crew of evil men and women can simply 'appoint' their candidate and that's that.

I believe that if I poked around into the backgrounds of every single one of the various appointees in DC, more than 90% of them would prove to be human scum that only float on the swamp known as DC and Wall Street. What can you say about a group that collectively and individually have never been blamed for a single disaster they created whether it be the banking collapse, the housing collapse, the EPA mine disaster? You name the disaster and not ONE SINGLE SCUMBAG in DC was punished or even investigated for wrongdoing. Look at that worthless 'investigation' into Clinton's email thievery and knowingly disclosing classified information on her private server to enemies of the United States. It now appears, finally, that acting on some of that Clinton information, China rounded up all the agents there working for the CIA (US) executed them. How's that for 'no consequences' and 'what does it matter anymore?'

So Trump is no longer laboring under any illusions/delusion about what he's working with. On the gripping hand, they are beginning to get some idea of who they are dealing with and it's looking more like a fair fight, hopefully to the death. One side telling of that is the news filtering out that after thousands of high level leaks from the so-called "intel" community, there has not been one actionable peep out of any of those SCUMBAGS that points to any collusion between Trump's entire campaign staff or him personally conspiring with Russia to interfere in our elections.

Where are all those democrats in congress howling about the interference of the DNC handpicked staff and delegates interfering in the free exercise of democracy by all those chumps that voted for Bernie? The DNC sure as hell conspired against them. Their own hacked records prove it.

And the second thing for Trump; he visited the King of Saudi Arabia and did very well. He visited Jerusalem and did very well. He visited the pope in the Vatican and on this holy ground handed him a first edition copy of the works of some guy named Martin Luther blah blah. How's that for a poke in the eye? Subtle enough that even the clowns on NPR never mentioned it today. That was the bright shining moment of the political day today and they never even noticed.

WATCHING OCEANIA

I tend to think Orwell would shoot and then bayonet every single democrat alive today in America and Britain. When I read his books I thought he was making mock of them. Now? They rule us.

They have their reliable slaves such as Lanny who they can send out to spin, "well, it wasn't sex if she spit" campaign. Watch the man in the video above try to explain how it was that fact is not real and yet they're the same ones that want you to die because tree rings from a thousand years ago postulate that the global temperature has gone up .0001 degree since last time Jesus walked the earth.

Lanny is so utterly evil I don't think he ever goes home and tosses and turns after doing a "good" day of serving the Clintons. Try to imagine a public disclosure of the Wannsee Conference and who would be out there spinning the disclosure for the socialists democrats....Yep, Lanny.

See who was there and who they represented. Every single moment of my life I can honestly say that if I had been asked to represent a 'boss' at that place or speak for my own self, I would have burned the place down and killed all within. At that point, I might have wanted Lanny on my side but you know where he stood. He's reliable.

REGARDING THE VIOLENCE

I found myself wondering today why all colleges and universities reward the truly violent students and expel those merely 'accused' of violence against women.* The protesters, the rioters, the campus vigilantes who show justice by throwing rocks through store windows, arson, or spraying graffiti never seem to feel the wrath of university administrators. But try taking a gun on campus, which is your actual civil right or try handing out copies of the Constitution [free speech] on campus, which is again, also your civil right, and the administration policy is to suspend or expel you without warning and without mercy.

Doesn't that seem odd to you? When did actual liberals rally around and support zero tolerance?

STAGGERING ALONG WITH FADING MEMORY

I guess a few people are appalled that Vernon Jordan suffered from near total memory failure during his testimony to the grand jury investigating Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky. The Washington Examiner's Byron York appears to think that Mr. Jordan did something wrong by declaring that he could not remember the details of something in the past.

That is strange considering what happened to poor Scooter Libby who went to jail and was fined because his memories did not coincide perfectly with meetings and statements in the past about who was responsible for "outing" the odious CIA analyst Valerie Plame Wilson which then resulted in his  destruction by the utterly vile and contemptible Patrick Fitzgerald. Libby had nothing to do with the case and Fitzgerald knew that at the time but Fitzgerald tied him up based on faulty memories during testimony.

This was how the Independent Prosecutor appointed to investigate who leaked information about Plame was handled using the politics of personal destruction:

Such an honest answer should not have worked for somebody like the Secretary of State since she had an appointment book kept for every minute of the day which details who she met with and a precis of the purpose of each meeting.. The topics actually discussed may be different from the schedule, but where she was, and who she was with is, a matter of official record.

The problem this country now faces is that vile attack on Libby rendered moot the idea that any official would ever attempt to answer an investigator's questions honestly, ever again. The penalty for an imperfect memory is much worse than any penalty for actually committing the crime in question. One no longer takes refuge in the 5th Amendment, one merely doesn't recall.

Way to go Patrick Fitzgerald! You screwed government accountability forever! Scumbag.

My faith in SAC is over, and not because feelings could have been hurt. The Air Force shattered a myth that lasted almost 3 generations. Not bad Air Force! You have to wonder how they think anyone is going to maintain a ruthless and fanatical desire for professional perfection and combine that with "feelings." I couldn't do it. I wouldn't even bother to try.

I submit that now we know. Ruthless pursuit of perfection is kicked to the curb when the Wing Commander's wife complains about some arrogant SOB who enquires about her little scheme and wonders why they do not actually remain open during the operating hours posted.

Read the poem again and think of what perished. The imagery that is called to mind these days is that of SAC. Ancient bombers, ancient missiles, ancient tech for the command and control, and a ruthless fanaticism for perfection: sacrificed on the alter of PC.

Remember when SAC and the Air Force were the cutting edge of theology?  ....oops. Technology? Yay Tech!

SOMETIMES WE HAVE SURREAL FOR BREAKFAST

If you turn your back, as I do, on the transom, weird stuff flies over it. This is bizarre on the face of it and even after you put it down and walk away you shake your head and mutter....WTF?

Honestly, who knew we had coed fraternities? This is the very first picture that pops up on google when I type coed. The powers that be who are concerned about girls getting assaulted on campus want them to move into fraternities because Title IX.

INEVITABLE PERVERSION OF SWIFT JUSTICE

The notoriously confused New York Times reports today that Brigadier General Sinclair is facing a discontinuity in the swift and merciless application of military justice to the "he said/she said" case that began almost TWO years ago, when he was sent home early from Afghanistan for an investigation into charges made by a female captain. It seems that the prosecutor has quit the case.

I have seen many cases where a defense counsel seeks to withdraw from a case and has to appeal to the court for authorization to do so. In some cases, the court has refused. I wonder how the defendant gets the best possible defense when his lawyer is acting under court imposed duress... How the lead prosecutor justifies that he is finished with the case before it goes to trial is a mystery to me.

The speculators are suggesting that the prosecutor may have reached the conclusion that the woman that made the charges is lying. I can certainly see having a serious problem with continuing a legal case against a man who could be sentenced to life in prison if found guilty, if you believe that the single witness to the case is a liar who is lying about the matter. Quitting at that point must be construed as prejudicial to the prosecution's case and entirely dishonorable.

It appears that General Sinclair conceded that he was involved in a relationship with the woman and that his conduct was unbecoming an officer. With that alone he could be found guilty and sentenced, but the Army wants blood and is proceeding on the main charges.

Congress people want every single case like this to proceed in just this fashion.  They want every single claim of sex anything to be treated as a criminal matter and to go to court martial. A backhand to the face or slap on the wrist after a minimum of 2 years of legal wrangling is not sending any deterrent message to people considering violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice. A. Everybody has sex. B. The odds that you'll get caught in this trap is vanishingly small.

The general admitted that he violated the UCMJ. His boss, the Commanding General of the 82nd Airborne Division, could have hauled him into his office in Afghanistan, in mid-May 2012, told him he was a disgrace, reduced him in rank to Colonel, ordered him confined or restricted for up to 2 months, fired him on the spot and shipped  him home. Message sent and everybody would have seen that the rules apply to all and all would benefit.

Trust the idiot Army 4 stars and politicians to screw that one up too. Consider that what the general did with the captain was exactly the same thing that General Petraeus was doing with a major at the same time and in the same country. The President appointed Petraeus head of the CIA. "Justice" appears kind of perverse. That's what happens when something is warped and twisted in pursuit of an overriding objective.

DEEPLY STUPID PEOPLE

If one were to try to think of 10 things a sovereign government could do that are so impossibly stupid they defy belief, I'm pretty sure Greece would place at least 4 times in the top 10. The latest ridiculous outrage today is that a terrorist sentenced to multiple life terms for attacking and killing British and American businessmen, diplomats, foreigners and a total of 23 people was released from prison on furlough for a week and failed to report back to finish out his multiple life sentences.

In Washington, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said the United States is “very closely engaged” with Greek authorities about finding Xiros.

“We’re obviously deeply concerned that this convicted terrorist remains at large and is now allegedly issuing renewed calls for violence. ... We continue to call on the (Greek) government to do everything they can to locate him and return him to prison.”

They are now offering a reward for information leading to his recapture. They're offering 4 million Euros to whoever helps locate him so the idiot Greeks can let him go on furlough again next year. That's 4 million Euros they'll have to borrow from their banks and Europe's banks because the government doesn't have it.

So my question is, does the NSA get to keep the money or do they have to give it back? I mean, they obviously know where he is hiding and he's a foreigner. Win win, right?

HIGHER HONOR

If the Secretary of Defense jumped out from behind a bush tomorrow and offered me a job as an actual U.S. Air Force General, I'd decline on the spot. I realize that I am not suited for such a dismal and horrific honor. I chanced upon this article in Popular Mechanics about a disgraced Air Force General's last interview. I read both the article and this report below which was linked there:

which somehow has found its way into the innertubes. The general, it appears, drinks, likes women, and smokes cigars. THAT BASTARD!!!

In addition to that trifecta of immorality, the Ms. claimed that the general was late and drunk and rude, possibly while engaged in drinking 25 toasts at one dinner at which the Russian Federation was NOT pushing alcohol.  In my experience, the General was always where he was supposed to be when he was supposed to be there and wearing the appropriate uniform. If it sometimes appeared otherwise to outside observers that was only because they didn't understand the rules. Only the Air Force would goon that up and proclaim that the general was late or indisposed.

I did JAGMANs as a younger man and the reports never ventured into such hysterical paroxysms of outrage as what the Investigator did as when it learned that even though the Colonel had told the General's aide that he might need up to 3 hours for the deposition, the General had to stop after an hour to reschedule an appointment. That dirty rotten BASTARD!!!

I have a theory. The USAF has been so sissified that a single sip of beer lays them flat out under the table. They have no resistance to alcohol, smoke or good looking women since they never experience any of that on the job. And should you wonder at the intemperance of my language, try reading the Air Force Inspector General's report. It reads like Kim Jong Un's investigator's report on Kim's late uncle. You know; the one that was recently torn to pieces and eaten by 120 starving dogs.

Seriously, Chuck. You can take that job and shove it.

GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER

As long as you ignore the fact that the shooting victims were innocent bystanders, hitting two people with three shots represents unusual excellence in marksmanship for the NYPD, matching another recent incident in which skilled NYPD officers were able to hit their target and nine bystanders with only 16 bullets. Overall the NYPD usually requires about 331 rounds to hit 54 targets, of which 14 will be innocent bystanders, 24 will be dogs, and 16 will be people the NYPD was actually aiming at. Statistically, if you aren't a dog, it is slightly more dangerous to be the person the NYPD was shooting at than a bystander (16 people out of 331 shots for intended targets for a 4.8% hit rate vs. 14 people out of 331 shots for bystanders, a 4.2% hit rate.) NYPD has a better success rate for other weapons, and certain factors, like shooting unarmed people in the back, tend to increase hit rates.

When NYPD officers fire 331 shots, and hit 16 targeted people, 24 dogs, but also 14 bystanders, there is a problem.

The interweb has a number of this sort of comment from people reacting to the release of the NYPD good shooting report. According to them, they're all good. What drives some people to drink is that in New York City you can be indicted and prosecuted for assault if the NYPD decides to open fire on you and the police miss you end up shooting two innocent bystanders. It has not been reported if either of the two women were armed.

Every week I am more inclined to believe that Barney Fife was not a parody of a police officer, he is a police officer.

What is it with this guy and his supporters that they just ignore laws that they decide don't matter anymore? Holden with his Civil Rights and Voting Rights selective enforcement, the IRS with it selective targeting of just those on Obama's Enemies List and the idiots at FISA and NSA who never met an unconstitutional form of spying they weren't instantly in favor of?

RATIONAL DRONE POLICY

Right now the US policy for executing drone strikes is one that delivers drone strikes into every place on earth where we think we can get away with it. When you think about it, that's the same policy used by every overreaching tyranny in history. They continued to do whatever they thought they could get away with until they went one tiny little step too far. That little step was always obvious in hindsight but transparent at the time.

Germany progressed from an outright prohibition on having U-boats, a war machine or an air force, to re-militarizing the Rhineland, taking over Austria, occupying German speaking Czechoslovakia and then invading Poland. We ourselves did nothing much about any of that. We didn't even mind all that much when U-boats started attacking our shipping. It took the Japanese to bring us into war with Germany -- I guess that obviates the point I was trying to make. When Germany went all hyper-aggressive barbarous we did nothing at all.... Oh well. Except.... maybe, Japan invaded all of its neighbors from the Soviet Union on down south by Java Head while we did exactly nothing at all to stop it or rein in its excesses. We didn't do anything until they attacked the US fleet in Hawaii.  So there's that.

If our drone policy is rational, does that mean we can strike terrorist targets in Saudi Arabia? If we decide to deny ourselves the pleasure of mending fences with Saudi Arabia or Egypt, can we put warheads on foreheads in those countries too, just like we do in other benighted third world hell holes? Can we use them on Mexico and the drug cartels? "Variable this is Knife."

American attack drones coming to a neighborhood near you.  You do know that the police are flying drones here and now, don't you? Have you any knowledge of a meaningful law that prevents your local police from putting weapons on their drones? Hell! I'm surprised they haven't armed their helicopters....yet.

Karen Sizemore had apparently been a mild mannered Lowe's employee for the past 18 years, but when she saw a shoplifter run out with some merchandise, her inner Supergirl took over. The Kentucky clerk was at her register when she saw the man grab a $600 Dewalt tool kit and sprint out the door. She took off after him and chased him into the parking lot, attempting to grab the tools out of the backseat of his car. She couldn’t recover the merch, but she did get his license plate number which she says helped the police find and arrest him. Her coworkers started calling her Wonder Woman. Her bosses called her "Fired."

Sizemore says she swiftly lost her job because of her attempt to catch the thief. "Their explanation was I put myself and other people in danger and they fired me," she told WLKY-TV. "This is the thanks I get?" Lowe's released a statement explaining that she had violated company policy, which isn't enough for Sizemore: she might hire an attorney to help her get her job back.

Do you suppose the store will fail to agree to press charges for stealing since they don't appear to think the man did anything criminal?

ATTORNEY GENERAL RAMSEY CLARK'S BOY

A truly despicable person was sentenced to serve 50 years in a British prison, or luxury hotel; it's hard to tell which given the way Britain treats criminals. Charles Taylor, 22nd President of Liberia and thus a peer of our man in the Spite House, was found guilty of terrorism, murder, rape and using child soldiers. He was ably defended by former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, who also defended Saddam Hussein, Radovan Karadzic, Slobodon Milosevic, and various other devils and demons.

Various writers have tried to pen imagined distopias of such unbridled horror that the readers would be sickened. Taylor and his friend Prince Johnson left them in the shade. On some people, the veneer of civilization is very thin.

Whenever I consider that Attorney General Holder is the most racist man in America and is staffing the Justice Department with people who will remain there forever, corrupting the ebb and flow of justice in America, I can at least keep in mind that he is not a knee-jerk anti-American like Clark. Having life bureaucrats at Justice who will behave as reliably despicably as Interior Department and National Park thugs and IRS bureaucrats and EPA enforcers is really not good for America. They fail to see it but their actions actively invite contempt for the law and do you know what West Africa is best known for? Yep. Contempt for the law.

This was the outgoing cabinet after Doe took power. Doe didn't have it this easy.
