"...police are not going to come out of this little tyranny unscathed by their stupidity, failure to reason and sheer unmitigated viciousness."Yep, people may start shooting on sight if the police keep up with the behavior they have been enjoying lately.Paul L. Quandt
I certainly hope the people do not "start" shooting. that would be unfair. police are required to win any fight they get into regardless of the level of technology involved. no one wins the fight. even suing the legal authority over police misconduct of any sort is a no win situation as a guy is only taking money out of his own pocket and giving it to lawyers-an abhorrent situation. so, no, do not shoot police. politicians who told the police to do what they do on the other hand...
That's pretty much why this country sprang into being. Our ancestors just got fed up with the tyranny and the petty tyranny of the overlords and threw them out. I suspect that a number of people are going to reconsider a bit more carefully who they vote for as sheriff and who they vote to appointment their chiefs of police.
I think they should all, at a start, lose their unlawful immunity to law suits and pay a significant part of all assessed court ordered fines when they break the law. They should also be instantly fired and blacklisted, never to ever work in law enforcement anywhere again in their lifetime. Kind of like those domestic abusers who lose their right to ever own a firearm. We have to reform a thoroughly broken system that treats every citizen exactly like a low-level cartel gang member who kills for a living.
