I recall the book, a good read while on alert at the hardstand back in the day. of memorable note, the transmission medium the mad scientist used. the term "e pluribus unum" comes to mind. he contaminated one dollar bills which he spread around the IRA's home plate. As I recall, it was if nothing else, accurate in concept.
Scott: I have long said much the same thing ( my take is that they have good PR agents ); you are the first person I am aware of who thinks the same thing about those rodents.
sqwuuirrrlllls make excellent survival food when a guy can't seem to snag a rabbit or two...treerat roasted over an open fire, nothing could be finer even without beer. not so good raw.
We used to visit my grandparents in PA and for many decades there was a loaded .22 rifle by every door into the house so if the squirrels were sighted they were dead. One of them, don't remember who, used to make daniel boone hats for us nippers out of the pelts and tails. My uncle who still lives in PA still has loaded .22 rifles by the front and back door. He isn't a fan of squirrels.

Needs an automatic squirrel sensor trigger mechanism.
