Anyway, it's difficult to imagine the pain and heartbreak Mr. Acosta has felt over the past two years. All he wants to do is get the facts by making a spectacle of himself in front of a camera. He's an old-school journalist who gets the story by making himself the story. He's Ted Baxter without the brains or shame or self-awareness. He bravely speaks truth to power, regardless of the complete lack of risk to his career or person.

OUR TED BAXTER
I found this gem last night after watching 'Educating Rita' and thought it was hilarious. It's sad that nobody under 50 will have a clue just how bad this makes Acosta look since none of them have ever heard of the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

LOL, I remember Ted.
Sadly now we have tons of those types (for real).
Life imitates art.
Not a good thing in some cases.
I don't watch them but I enjoy the heck out them all taking umbrage when Trump refers to them as 'enemies of the people' and 'fake news'. That man took a master class in Irritating the enemy. Heck, he probably teaches that class.
I came around to thinking that the best actors were the ones nobody remembers. Major Burns and Charles whossname in MASH were absolutely perfect for their roles but the only one everyone remembers is Alan Alda who wasn't acting so much as just playing himself.
There were two wonderful late night news anchors at World News Now or something and they were brilliant, funny, irreverent and had occasional pauses for Polka music from their producer. That's how to watch the news.
