Somebody (people) decided that there was something to be gained by spending vast amounts of money in Communist China studying gain of fucntion research to translate animal virus into something to overwhelm and kill human immune systems. Just why have we left those people alive?

gain of function ranks alongside "trans woman" as the most ridiculous oxymoron ever. gain of dysfunction, enhanced homicidal tendencies, or megafuckery would be more accurate
