As I mentioned earlier, I spent a portion of the day of Christmas Eve in the VA clinic in Metroparkcentralis. I had just had the MRI and was waiting for the Ortho and was sitting in the cafeteria having a late breakfast/early lunch when this lady came up to me and handed me a little paper bag.
This was in it. She gave a little paper bag to everybody in the cafeteria and then she vanished. I know the Church. It means I'll have to head over there soon and give back.
May you all have a very happy new year.
The Christmas just before Iraqi Freedom kicked off I was the NCOIC at a air base in Kuwait. We had crappy coffee in the chow hall and at the shop. The only decent coffee was $3 a cup at the coffee shop after standing in line for 30 to 40 minutes. Our 900 person Air Force base had about 2k Army soldiers and 14k Marines waiting to go north.ReplyDelete
I got a care package of 4 lbs of Dunkin Donuts coffee, a 14oz french press, and a insulated stainless steel coffee cup. I still have the cup.
I am now 59 and that care package is one of the best Christmas presents I ever got.
Happy New Year Cap'n!ReplyDelete
