It was a tough week and I like to think that the families of those who died in the attacks in Belgium could see the ones they loved, relaxing in the shade of those trees, on the other side of the river, in the clearing at the end of the path.

Having been stationed at Geilenkirchen, just across the border from Brunssum. This one was close to home. Too close. Those who died will not be forgotten, those who perpetrated this will not be forgiven. Nor will those in power who facilitate this heinous crimes be forgiven.
Godspeed Mrs. Martinez.
We have entered an age where the nihilists and anarchists are going to everything they can to extinguish the light of a civilized world. The lights have gone out in the islamic countries and areas of the middle east.
