I got this from a post at Zerohedge and recommend that you watch the short video there from the author of this informative pitch. It starts to cover the things you probably wondered about:
Can anybody point to a case the FBI has shined in in the last 30 years?
This is the very definition of Federal Agencies and the Media
It is all they teach + "everyone does it, why not me?"
The people that run these agencies and have for years have been graduating from the same rotten institutions that hate America for decades and they have all voted democrat all their life and they marry each other so you have the prosecutors marrying the FBI and vice versa and then they appear in front of the same judges they went to school with and a wink is as good as a nod and we have the obviously broken, corrupt and defiled justice and law enforcement system that we would not tolerate in any other country foisted off on us and we're told this is as good as it gets.

The FBI hasn't "lost" anything. They have deliberately concealed and hidden vast amounts of evidence that they don't want anyone outside the highest levels of the agency to see. The entire bureau is corrupt to the core and has been since it's inception. T was created by J. Edgar Hoover and used by him as his private KGB to spy on and blackmail anyone who opposed him. And it's only gotten worse since then. It should be ended, permanently.

They, and the ATF did one hell of a job at Ruby Ridge. Good Job, Brownie!
Look, the first rule of a bureaucracy is to protect the bureaucracy. Nothing else comes close.
