MINDBLOWING POWER REMOVAL

I used to live in the formerly great state of Californiastan but I moved out almost a decade ago. It sure has gone to the dogs since I left but it was well on its way to Hell long before I left. We had the worst and most corrupt local and state governments it was possible to buy and we had spending so far out of control that there was no longer any point in even trying to address getting it fixed and under control and then the truly crazy socialists took over both houses in the State Assembly and various evil lawbreakers were elected governor and were our senators for what felt like forever.

Here is an interactive map of the power shutdown and removal that is being enforced now in the Bay Area. The blue shaded areas are the ones without power going forward until the ending of the world or whenever...

Californiastan turned into a Third World shithole so fast... I only turned my back on it for a minute.

I hope those backup generators at the Lawrence Berkeley Lab data centers are in good working order. May not be for a several dat outage.

And Chez Panise was supposed to be one of the best restaurants in the Bay area. Sic transit gloria mundi ...

Back when I lived in Emeryville and friends went to Cal, they had a nuclear reactor somewhere up in the Berkeley hills, maybe they still do and use it to power their physics labs and servers at times like this.

Plus they have the ABC's in that area also. The university runs it for the storage of bio weapons and testing in labs. At least it was gong on during the 1960's when I lived up in that area. Much more dangerous than just the nuclear problem.

The lights are going out in Cali, all to save whatever "critter du jour" that might be living in the brush lands and forests in that over-populated Garden of Eden.

All you Gavin Newsome fans, what are you going to do when some homeless citizen living in the hills has a campfire get out of control, or some Wacko, off his or her meds, decides that "fire looks pretty." Can't blame PG+E for that, though some will try. Will you legislate that homeless must move to shelters, or that EDP's must be medicated and institutionalized?

To quote Pogo: "We have met the enemy, and he is us."

no. no, they won't. as in all things californika, they will blame trump because as we all know, it's his fault anyway.

at any rate, some years ago when Colorado's budget hit some several billions, a bipartisan voter attempt to reign in the legislature spending the state's people into the poor house(californika). It was a state constitutional amendment named Taxpayers Bill of Rights. TABOR for short. in essence, it limited legislature's ability to tax, not eliminate it. Limiting the amounts it could keep and requiring it to return to taxpayers any amount over an adjustable limit. it sorta worked, I actually got a tax credit for a few years until the pols of both sides got together and figured that fees were not a tax. Now, we have a Newsome clone for governor, a democrat legislature which will spend everything it can "for the children?", and local governments of all sorts clamoring for a concerted effort (for the children, of course) to root out all efforts at returning any money to the taxpayer IAW TABOR by having funding referendums that just ignore the law and state constitution. God knows where this will end up.
voters are always conned into screwing themselves by conniving politicians; it only seems physically difficult until you try it. The deal with the fees is that it was in the original draft of the amendment but removed when it was pointed out that libraries would need a voter consent to raise late book fees etc, etc. OOOooo...politicians should never be allowed to have law degrees; makes them dangerous. Corrupt politicians are a known evil, giving them law degrees is sinful.

About 12 years ago I started to believe that the sudden increase in wild fires was mostly do to illegals setting camp fires and then doing what scum always do and walking away and leaving their fires still burning behind them because that's how they are. About 10 years ago I decided that the surge in fires was terrorists. Nothing I've seen has changed my mind.

I wonder if it might be time for me to read those books by Kurt Schlichter.
