A FEW WORDS ON THE VENAL AND CORRUPT

The House democrats voted some sort of exotic nonsense into being in a strict party-line vote today although 2 democrats jumped ship. It was entirely expected and it still fails the smell test for any true or actual Impeachment to begin. Nobody was surprised by the results but they did put me in mind of a couple of earlier democratic government's action which invited the contempt of better men.

As usual, they are known by their utter lack of character, honesty or integrity, as are their little whistle blowers who all seem Hell bent on their crazed path to dislodge the duly elected President and dissolve his government.

Randolph Churchill in a Letter to the Times-

He proceeded to review the conduct of the Opposition during the last three sessions. ‘Such a series of neglected opportunities, pusillanimity, combativeness at wrong moments, vacillation, dread of responsibility, repression and discouragement of hard-working followers, collusions with the Government, hankerings after coalitions, jealousies, commonplaces, want of perception on the part of the former lieutenants ... and if it be the case that Ministers have lost ground in the country, they have only themselves to blame, nor have they the slightest right to cherish feelings of resentment against the regular and responsible Opposition in the House of Commons.

His friends were distressed and I'm sure his enemies were appalled while his party was exceptionally upset.

It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter’d your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil’d this sacred place, and turn’d the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress’d, are yourselves gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors.
