Reading this story and hundreds more just like it made me realize something that I had given no thought to about the veterans who returned from the war in Vietnam. They got some very bad press after Tet, right up until the end of their involvement in the war and then for another 20 years or so, they were vilified by just about every media outlet. Their shabby treatment at the hands of their countrymen and women was legendary.
How do you feel about the Park Rangers and Park Police now?

Just curious, but did you link the correct story? The current link takes us to a story about a lacrosse team. That was a good story but what does it have to do with Vietnam vets?
The article was about a lacrosse youth organization that had paid $5000.00 to use a couple of fields in what turns out to be federal land on a concession operated by non-government people and the Park Police ran the kids off when they tried to take the field. That's just shitty behavior and it is unprincipled low-down and mindlessly vicious.
