SOCIALISM WITH A HUMAN FACE

In a grossly unfair and brutal (stab, stab, twist twist) fashion, I have co-opted the words of the President of the Final Czechoslovakia Republic for my own ends. Because I can and because they are both memorable and embody a desire for a little more freedom from government than the Socialists of the USSR were going to allow to anybody at the time.
On that note we turn to Congressman Mike Pompeo. He wrote a letter that you should read. It seems that one of the architects of Obamacare is a little dismayed at what a trainwreck it is and will be. I believe Max was disgruntled by this particularly terrifying face of socialism.
She's the one in charge.

REPOSTED and UPDATED.

The wheels were well off this thing before I posted this back in April but I liked characterization of the face of Obamacare given vent to here.

About that Townhall link: Wow. Just wow. There was a time in the not too distant past where I was a C-SPAN junkie and wouldn't miss stuff like this. I gave that up for extended Happy Hours (i.e., more beer) and I believe I'm better off for it.

I'm with Buck. In the not too distant past, under the imprimatur of "know your enemy" I used to watch MSNBC and NBC religiously from "Morning Joe" straight thru the day.gagging only occasionally. Now it's strictly straight to the Barbancourt first thing in the am, fortuitously blessed by the intermittent "pass out" periods.. My wife wonders why, but when I start to rant, as a hard-bitten RN of 40 yrs , she only says "welcome to the real world" lol

I gave up smoking and TV ages ago and don't miss either one of them. I believe in Happy Hours. A lot.

I tried a little but it was too painful to watch so much stupidity condensed into such stupid puerile shows of done-nothing-in-life greedy vandals. I was a bit more successful with the radio threat and nothing fired me up like listening to Radio Pacifica while driving late at night down from San Fran to San Diego. I gave that up though when Art Bell crawled back to his bunker and resumed his late night broadcasts. Nothing could top that show and his "remote viewer" renegades from the CIA, and Joe vs the deer.
