This is so last administration but the difference between one man and the next cannot be overstated. This man was actually more comfortable stepping into North Korea than his successor and the other fabulists were in taking office unless they were surrounded by hundreds of cops and National Guard and had high fences to keep the hoi polloi well back from their betters.
This was President Trump striding into North Korea at Panmunjom. I've been there and it is one of the most dangerous places on earth. Srsly, the North Korean hacked apart American officers as recently as the 1970's right there. Think about it though, he was actually safer in North Korea with zero SS around him or vetting the place then he was surrounded by SS in a little town in western Pennsylvania. Kind of sad isn't it?
There has probably not been an American President more attuned to Diplomacy and Statesmanship since Eisenhower.
