Aesop put a happy spin/version on what happened with the pier. But it doesn't actually seem very likely. We can wish it were true, that active and deliberate incompetence is what caused the problems. But it seems highly unlikely, and more likely just another example of our military's inability to conduct a mission competently.

Gotta want some White Hats in our current military-intelligence and government in general, eh?
Occom's razor says otherwise and it's a happy happenstance for Israel.
