Journalism as a profession is dead. It was murdered long ago. It's not the province of idiots and professional liars.
That is barely Warp 2.5. A USN Photon Torpedo is good to warp 10.
This is why the media cannot be trusted for any information. They are too stupid and would believe anything, no matter how ridiculous. They are nothing but a conduit for propaganda, completely incapable of filtering out nonsense.
Consider the source: the U.K.'s Daily Mail. It's half a step away from featuring "Bat Boy" and other former staples of U.S. supermarket tabloids. Ironically, the D.M. often covers legitimate, major U.S. stories when U.S. news does not, and gives details U.S. news sources do not.
I have to admit that's why I still go to drudge, slide down the blogroll to the UK Daily Mail feed page and look at the headlines. Daily Mail reporters and news from them is about 200 x more informative, accurate and detailed then all pure US news and news reporters.
