ROME

I can't write right now , I'm blind in one eye. I told myself not to write but Rome. Rome survived a thousand years and the thing that was rome lived on. I couldn't not write about Rome. It was about 18 seconds. A concept and Empire that lived for a thousand years. I was watching about Rome and the legions, the 17th, 18th and 19th. I saw the need to write Rome before going to bed.

America is making many of the same mistakes as Rome....the difference is they had better roads.

Somehow the face page of the former and latter politicos is identical. Corrupt to the core. A general observation not case specific.

All republics have a lifespan. Rome allowed itself to become an empire, and then allowed the seeds of its own destruction into its most critical areas. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose.

Me, I always lead with mutatis mutandis. A real genius wrote 3 books about them. As I think about it, I would have to say he was very much a peer of Lex. He had the history and the style. He is brilliant. If you can find the books of Robert Frezza they're very very good.

I don't take history in the sizeable chunks such as McAully and all those boring idiots who failed to understand. You can actually read the history of this age in the works of Tolkien. I'm not kidding. He captured an entire world at war and wrote a story about it. He took from the Trench warfare and from the rest. I don't really care about other historians. History is and always was about nothing but war.
