INTO THE NIGHT

I went and searched for my phone because I told one I dearly love to call me. She never does, almost never has but tonight she sent an email that I think screams "dad, dad dad!. She's a thousand miles away and 18. All those years carefully aranged by her mother to be dad free. I know it's too late but still, I hope she calls. I got the phone next to me now so I'll answer if she calls. I hope she calls.

No matter how old your kids are a father will always seek to deal with their problems...even when there is nothing he can do. It's the hardest burden of being a father.

She didn't call. I hope she's on the train to here.

It's the hardest burden of being a parent - not being able to ease your child's pain, even when that child is an adult.

The hardest part of being a parent is having to let go. Followed by not hearing from for what seems to be forever. That is why being a Father is the hardest, toughest job there is. But one that I would never forsake for all the gold in Ft Knox. (If there is any gold still in it)

Hope it all works out. Sometimes a crisis helps move things off the status quo.

She called and we talked for a very long time. I don't hate. I used to. I learned a mental trick that made it much easier to live forever and I've been doing it for oh, about 20 years now without hate. The wolves are in the bushes just over there and I find that I do not care. At all. Yea,I'd have to say it was the worst day of my life.

I hope she calls again, and again, and you can fully reconnect. You are a Good Man, and she needs to have one as her Dad. Badger prayer send.
