ECOUTEZ, THE SIGNALS ARE IN THE AIR

Anybody who has studied the origins of the First and Second World War can clearly point to all the signals that both sides sent prior to embarking on hostilities and in hindsight it is clear that nobody on the other side was listening or comprehending what they were hearing. In short, it's just like a normal day of politics except in these cases as nations slide into war, it is more important to listen to the actual words that your opponent is sharing. They're not asking for a rebate, a new election or for you to hold the elevator. They are imparting deadly information and hoping that you are listening.

Regrettably, nobody in Europe is listening, again.
