There is the usual presumption that justices of the supreme court don't want to die in office and want to retire and enjoy the good life and also make sure the President of their party gets to choose a successor like them, unlike the poor unfortunate RBG who had the misfortune to drop dead during President Trump's first term. I have seen many comments about this in my reading.
There is an alternative though:
Have the stupidest Supreme Court Justice in all history gibberish them all to death. I would go mad if I had to listen to that profoundly stupid arrogant jackass talk for more than 10 minutes.

Whenever I think about it, I wonder why the entire democratic party cannot find a single women with the intellect, merit and integrity of Condoleezza Rice.
