Once again I turned to the online for inspiration and two things struck me as noteworthy. The first had to do with an old veteran discussing his naval background with a modern sailor and sounding like a man from the dark ages because he was a Water Tender or Boiler Tech or some such and this:
What I wondered as I saw this picture was, are any of our aircrew taking pictures like this today as they fly missions over Iran and are they carefully printing them and preserving them for a time not to distant when men no longer fly front line combat aircraft in war? It seems pretty clear that we are seeing the last gasp of manned aerial combat because drones are going to make these things as obsolete as horse tenders or archers.*
*The discerning reader will know that I favor entering a war prepared and the best preparation for dealing with enemy aircraft is to destroy them when they're home, alone, at night.
