NOT LOOKING ALL THAT DEMOCRATIC

It is interesting to observe that the ruler of South Korea just declared martial law because invalid reason. The UK government is a tiny minority of actual Members of Parliament and yet rules as if it has a mandate given by the people and the French PM just overwrote the will of the Parliament there and signed into force a new budget that did not have popular support. In Georgia the foreign born President is simply ignoring the democratic vote for a new government and has decided to retain power. Everywhere one looks at the so-called democratic West we see rot and ruin setting it. This is probably one for the ages since it so clearly defines who the enemies of civilization really are.

sorta reminds me of FDR, though he was a bit more subtle about it - at times

Politicians ignore the will of the people for a simple reason. Because they can. They never suffer any painful personal consequences. Till they do they will continue to run rampant doing whatever the hell they want.

Defiant, I think it best to wait a bit. In the Koreas, there is always something cooking below the surface.

Just wait until FJB catches covid a week or two before January 20th and resigns for "health reasons" and allows Kamala to become POTUS. Kamala will then pardon FJB (so he doesn't have to go through the legal battle of whether he can pardon himself) around January 19th.

Scott Adams just read off the list of all the Korean PMs that have been convicted, jailed, etc and it is a long list. I don't know why anybody would want to be PM there. What I know of their military means that 100% of the top officers in all branches just got purged because the incoming PM is going to find 'his loyal' guy and promote him to head of the armed forces and in Korea that means everyone who was previously senior to him, retires immediately.ish.

Yep. I used to be amazed on the way out of the country every time when I'd pick up the Asia Times at Inchon as I boarded the plane back to SFO and read what Spengler had to say about what was really going on. I was usually sent there when things got iffy.

Yep. I really don't see how the PTB are going to survive a free and open investigation and that calls into question how long anybody will survive if they get the job to start digging. Washington is famous for taking an open and shut investigation and turning it into a 69 month investigation whose conclusions are classified and won't ever see the light of day.
