Did I ever tell you about the raging case of cryptosporidia I contracted in Rome because the hotel's water purification system was on the fritz, they failed to notify the guests, and went on using water from the same 2,000 year old, mosquito-breeding aquaduct as if it wasn't a direct express train to a mass cholera outbreak?
Not to mention the 50' tall mural of Mussolini painted across the street on another building in the Piazza Euclide?

I think a few of the aquaducts are still in use.
I suspect some really massive pipelines akin to those feeding NYC.
