BAN HOODIES

I'm looking at the DC search for a suspect in a quadruple homicide in an upscale neighborhood. The surveillance video reveals the killer walking away and naturally he is wearing a hoodie. Liberals are always keen to address crime by banning guns and knives and swords and yet never think that perhaps ending the faceless anonymity of the criminals might contribute more to finding and punishing criminals than any type of restriction of the 2nd Amendment.

One might wonder how to enact such a ban. Easy, do what Bloomberg did in New York City and pass and ordnance banning the sale or wear of hoodies. Those guys have criminalized just about everything so one more minor bagatelle is nothing.

And that is what I call a great idea.

When shopping malls over here banned hoodies, they were amazed to find an instant hike of 25% in shoppers and visitors (which did not include me, as I hate such places.) A simple solution that benefitted every one, save for the 'ill-disposed' who either complied - or took their grubby shoplifting traits to the open air town centres.

We get "alerts" in our email at work about "incidents" that have happened on or near campus. I will be taking a closer look, but I would guess that the descriptions of a few (100%) of the perpetrators say that they were wearing hoodies.

It seems so simple and intuitive but it will never pass as an ordinance anywhere in America.

Over here one would instantly be indicted as a racissssssssssst if one attempted to implement it here but it's hard not to associate EVERYONE wearing a hoodie with CRIMINAL. Sure it's stereotyping but there's a valid reason that stereotypes are still around even after all these years of liberal counter-programming.

I find it interesting that the media and officials universally leave out the most salient descriptions of perpetrators of every crime committed in America these days. There is in fact, no physical description to go with the stories about assault, robbery, etc. It renders the media utterly useless in the war on crime.
