Interesting story from Russia via the BBC.
Russia's richest man has revealed that he bought US scientist James Watson's Nobel Prize gold medal, and intends to return it to him.
I'm afraid that the IRS is going to eat a big chunk of Watson's money from the sale in taxes when he receives his medal back which will come on top of the chunk they took out of the sale price from the auction.
The IRS knows how much it's worth. Maybe he should arrange to buy it for $1 instead.
