This was a famous quote that never happened but I liked the painting and the attitude it expressed. This was never my own experience with Destroyers but I suppose they must be ready for something sometime.
We have heard dire warnings of a fell winter snowstorm that is bound to kill millions if the weather prognosticators are to be believed and even though we find them slightly less believable than democrats or other communist party hacks, we got ready for anything. We are ready now.
Let loose the tempest! Let loose the Kraken. We are ready now!

That painting is "Return of the Mayflower." A copy hung in the offices at NAEC Lakehurst when I worked there in high school. Another was the painting of the Battle of the Coral Sea - "Scratch One Flat Top!" Don't tell me that's not real either!
