WE ARE READY NOW

This was a famous quote that never happened but I liked the painting and the attitude it expressed. This was never my own experience with Destroyers but I suppose they must be ready for something sometime.

We have heard dire warnings of a fell winter snowstorm that is bound to kill millions if the weather prognosticators are to be believed and even though we find them slightly less believable than democrats or other communist party hacks, we got ready for anything. We are ready now.

Let loose the tempest! Let loose the Kraken. We are ready now!

Others have noted that once you fail to select for competence you get incompetents. It is the same with selecting for excellence. Once you no longer make it the focus of your effort it quickly goes away.
