I know it's hard to believe but it is true. Just look at them all rogering up to attack the United States if we move into Greenland. It's clear that they all figured out that they need Greenland way more than they need the United States. What makes this really amusing is that they don't even see that President Trump is pulling the veil back from the eyes of all the Americans who thought that Europeans really really liked us and were just like us. They see Europeans frothing at the mouth in their desperate need to attack us the instant we do anything they dislike. Oops.
I guess that makes us worse than the Russians. I mean they kept sending hundreds of billions of Euros to Russia for the first 3 years of the Russian Special Military Operation in Western Russia because it was okay to buy their gas and oil as long as they hates them on TV.
Do I think that this is all just a teaching moment orchestrated by Donald Trump? Yea, pretty much. The thing I'm seeing about President Trump is if you simply accept what he says at full face value, he pretty much means what he says. He is as willing to negotiate for Greenland as we were to buy Alaska, the Louisiana Purchase and the Gadsden Purchase or even the cheap sweep gained by Adams-Onis. Buying new bits of America is pretty much how we did it. Did everyone think that method had an expiration date?

I think it would be funny if Rubio announced that we had reached an agreement with the surviving descendant of Queen Margaret of the Kalmar Union and arranged to swap all of our interests in Cuba and Martinique for all of Greenland.

One has to wonder about Europe. It's as if they live in a fantasy world of their own, where just wanting something bad enough will make it come true.
As an ex-pat who's lived and worked in Europe for over 30-years, I can tell you the Europeans are like rich, spoiled kids that always got their way.
They've never had to work that hard, never had to fight for anything, they have no concept of financial risk and reward and the only real problems they have are problems they made for themselves out of pure political or ideological stupidity.
They sit on their high horse and talk smack about everything wrong with America. But they forget it was their ancestors who made America the greatest shining beacon of freedom and opportunity in the world. A few generations later, the sons and daughters of those immigrants came back to Europe to end WWI and WW2 and prevented the Soviet Union from talking over Germany in 1945 after rolling through Berlin. Which, by the way, they kept until 1990!
But believe me. The chickens are coming to roost and sooner than they think. Europeans sat on their lazy asses for 80+ years but real suffering is coming and they don't have a clue.

It’s like they never heard of the Spanish Civil War and just know they are way to civilized….and of course they never heard of Yugoslavia or what the people finally did to the ceausescus who richly deserved their fate at the hands of the people.
You know that right about the time we started the Civil War it became clear that all that was best had left Europe and what remained was the dregs of the West and the Industrial Revolution and they pissed that all away over the last 10 years.
Trump is allowing the Eurotards to demonstrate just how badly we need to leave NATO. As for Greenland....we do what we did with the Virgin Islands. We say "sell it or we take it". How are they going to stop us. With the collapse of Europe we are going to NEED Greenland as a buffer. Better now than later.
Actually Greenland has no tactical advantage so this is just Trump trolling Denmark, the EU and NATO. Any serious attacks on the US won't come in the form of missiles, they will come in the form of cyber attacks which are much easier, more widespread and less harder to track.
If Trump wants to end more fraud, waste and abuse in the military he should shut down all the US military bases in Europe where Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and their subsidiary contractors are making BILLIONS doing fuck-all. And exactly why do we need any troops and/or tracking stations on Geenland when we have satellites by the thousands over every location on earth?

Redundancy, backups, not putting all your intelligence eggs in one basket as so a clever previously ignored attack blinds the satellites.
Military has great radios. They still have the old school lay wire battery and crank telephones. When drones are tracking the RF signature of your starlink system, maybe the wire comes back into season?
Pretty sure the have spare satellites. Given the capability of drones and piloted aircraft, there's lots of available reconnaissance options without boots on the ground.
