I suspect that Europeans have far less to fear from his Royal Doltishness than the people of England.
I predict the new king will tire of the demands of the throne and abdicate after a year or two. He will cut a deal with his son so that he lives a grand life of leisure.
I tend to suspect you are right. William seems the only sane adult in the bunch.
