He became a tool of the democrats and was launched on one stupid witch hunt after another by them into putative links to Russia and Trump and witchcraft, and racism and bullying and meanness and other stupid stuff that kept the FBI from playing any meaningful role in the war on terror.

“While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau,” Mr. Trump said in a letter to Mr. Comey, posted on media websites.
The president said a new director is needed who “restores public trust and confidence” in the agency.Comey damaged FBI credibility much the way Holder and Lynch destroyed the reputation of the Department of Justice. What an enviable track record for Obama's choices to lead the Bureau and DOJ.
