HOT NEEDLE OF INQUIRY

One of the things we can all look forward to soon is the inevitable wails and moans from people who are going to slowly figure out that enhanced drone defenses mandate increased drone detection and the 20th century way to do that involves putting an enormous amount of electromagnetic energy into the air. Those people that flipped out about cellphone radiation, high tension transmission wires and garage door openers are going to freak out when they see that no place is safe without bathing the air above it with enough electromagnetic energy to boil a spaceship. Yep, they'll be so angry about that they're entirely likely to fail to notice frangible drone killing ammo and laser beams sweeping around them like they were on the world of the future in the movie Terminator.

This of course happens just as Amazon has finished refining its drone delivery service and even gotten permission to operate all over the place. Now their poor drones are going to be like the point men in those movies about dealing with troublesome predator aliens where the humans formed hunting parties.

Oh well, at least this will knock dead the whole ludicrous idea about flying cars.
