MATURE CONSIDERATION

 Anybody ignorant of why the Iran-Israel-USA War happened would be well advised to consider the facts that you are not privy to and that you never will be privy to. The real world is not some game that analysts working for the Post or Times can analyze and fully explain. It never was. It never will be.

— Consider that Israel intelligence turned up very convincing evidence that Iran had enough fissionable material and a working bomb and they knew where it was. The PM approached President Trump and told him what the situation is and furnished 100% of the information including sources and methods to seal the deal that the information was real and told the President that if he could not support Israel in destroying this threat, that Israel would do it alone and if they had to do it alone they had no option except to nuke it. It would be the only way to be sure.

— Consider that our intelligence had turned up the information that the country and leaders who have been screaming death to Israel and Kill the Jew for 47 years had positive control over one or more nuclear devices and that all the signs showed that they were preparing to use them on targets in Israel.  They suggested that we approach the Israelis to get the IDF to help flatten the facilities and kill the die-hard leadership of the worst terrorist regime on the planet.

The nuclear sword is extremely sharp on both sides and no party that owns them, other than China, ever formerly renounced the First Use of Nuclear Weapons. With the acquisition of nuclear weapons by both India and Pakistan any chance of ever keeping nuclear weapons out of play, died. Ours and NATO's issues with the USSR were purely ideological and the mere passing of time would see tensions ease if people simply relaxed and people familiar with the Cold War can easily point to a never ending long slow relaxing of tensions until the idea of a nuclear exchange between the Superpowers was a complete nonstarter.

We went from missiles poised on each other's borders and 24 hour/day nuclear armed bombers roaming the skies to INCSEA, SALT, START and INF Treaties. We scrapped Strategic Air Command and our nuclear forces became a sick joke that we didn't ever laugh at. We grounded the bombers long long ago and we took the nuclear weapons off our surface warships over 30 years ago. The confrontation was pretty much over and it pretty much ended just the way it did with China. Both the USSR and China gave up the COMINTERN and everything they had been doing in that field and then slowly converted themselves into modern(ish) corrupt capitalist oligarchies. You know, like the USA.

With the Indians and Pakistanis both coming into the nuclear weapons arena any hope that we would not explode another one in war went up in flames. These two countries share a burning religious hatred for each other and neither side possesses so much as a micro-liter of the milk of human kindness. The Persians running Iran as of 4 months ago had even less of the milk of human kindness and have been telling the world that they will exterminate the Jews since the day they forced the Shah out. This isn't people imagining that Iran is an existential threat. 

 

There will always be more going on than you will ever be aware of. Get used to it. Think MIB.
