SOMETHING IN THE AIR

Do the people notice at all anymore that the IAF now routinely flies through the sovereign skies of the Islamic holy land on its way to and from targets in Iraq? They are doing every Gulf Arab’s business and hasten unmolested on their appointed way. Never saw that coming, did you?

Did you also notice the same Iranians in America who are parading around, waving flags and telling everyone how happy they are about the regime change are not flooding the airports trying to get back home?

It is way too soon to carpetbag home. They’re still killing people over there.

Hurricanes have a calm eye I am told.

Nothing has changed in the logistics arena.

Sad to say my friends in the 82nd Airborne are in motion. Nothing like boots on the ground.

Yes! I have noticed, but I also noticed ZIM (ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd.) has not yet returned any where near to its high range between 75-90

Michael said...

What does that mean Boron? ZIM an Israeli shipping company based in Halfa.

Shipping volume? Stock price on our stock market hasn't changed much in the past 5 days.

Please expand friend.

the loss in stock strength began with the dock strikes in Haifa in mid-2022 and an increase in Houthi/Iran threats since that time; when I begin to see an increase in stock price/strength (ZIM), I'll know the Iranian threat to shipping (particularly Israeli) has come to a halt
IMO, perhaps only IMO

Oh, I failed to expand the stock price history far enough back to really see the damage from the Iran war. My bad.

Thanks Boron.

I was working fast food in college during the revolution. We had four Iranians who immediately left to join. I have wondered what happened to them. If they were welcomed back or treated as corrupted by US college. Tom

You're not factoring in the Shiite versus Sunni conflict that has been waged for the past 14 centuries. The Mullahs in Tehran are Shiites who believe that clerics and not hereditary kings or emirs should rule. Shortly after the revolution the Ayatollah Khomeini stated that Mecca should not be in the hands of the Sunni Arabians so there is no love lost between the Arabians and the Iranian theocracy.

In Huntsville we had a number of Iranian high school students. They had lots of money unlike the rest of us and their parents were working at Redstone Arsenal on some weapons projects of interest to the Shah. I think they all went home before the revolution and I don't know if any came back. I bought my second RX 7 in San Francisco from a very nice Persian family that had decided not to go back to Iran after getting out right after the revolution and of course every Persian restaurant I eat at seems to be the property of a former general of the Imperial Iranian Army. Good food though.
