IT WAS A TIME FOR ALLIES

Oddly enough, it was a time for allies and when we looked around we found ourselves standing alone, again. We are not going to forget that this is all that we can get from the standard bearers of the West. I know that anyone can turn around and say of US that when it came to war in Ukraine we were not there and you are unlikely ever to find US there but that is something different. We are not allies of Ukraine and we never were. We are not interested in calling the most heavily armed nuclear power on the planet to account for dealing with troublesome neighbors who have been waging genocide on their kinsmen. WE have better things to do. One of those is to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of fanatics and when we engage on that front we find, as I said at the beginning, ourselves standing alone.

OTAN delenda est. Let the French and the Germans have it. They deserve it.

Maybe they are waiting to see who wins.

Seems all of our allies are INFESTED with those Muslims and might not want to piss them off?

Not happy to even bring this up but looking around it seems our success rate lately is pretty poor.

Pitiful Hothis 2 and US navy 0 wasn't a good look.

Afghanistan also not so good.

Iraq is a semi controlled mess.

And the world seems to realize that Israel owns us through bought and paid for CONgress critters.

All empires have a expiration date and history shows allies fade from them to become an ally of the next empires.

Seems you and I discussed this before.

I don't and never made the mistake that is so common today. We are not fighting to 'fix' things. We are fighting to make them not a problem to US. I do this with John Konrad quite often. He keeps wanting the 19th century world where we dominated trade and had therefore a reason to have a giant navy that was going to fight pirates everywhere and keep the sea lanes open. I'm retired Navy and I don't see any reason at all for us to spend a penny keeping the sea lanes open unless they are vital OUR trade. Oddly enough, none of them are today except the Mississippi and we can't really do anything about that.

Some people can still point to the promises that Jimmy Carter swore at Camp David and committed to writing to see why we are the shield of Israel but I'll tell you an open secret, pushed to the wall, Israel is going to nuke them all.
