I've never been there and I never really planned to go since there is very little I need or want from one of the most corrupt capitals outside of Africa. On the other hand it is a relic with a little bit of history and I am a bit of history buff so there is that. On the gripping hand, if Trump sells Ukraine Tomahawk missiles and they shoot even one of them at a Russian city I think Colonel Putin is going to decide that enough is enough and he'll just nuke Kiev to make the point that people that are not involved in a fight should really stay the Hell out of it unless they are looking for a fight.
I don't think anyone is crazy enough to give Ukraine nuclear weapons so they can extend the war a little more and kill some more Russians in retaliation, do you?
I don't think there is enough bribe left on the planet to make Putin stop short of victory. The planet has reached out and tried to break, swipe, steal or destroy everything Russia has left since the collapse of the Soviet Union and there is no nuclear shield over Ukraine and people might see just why that is if they persist in wanting a war.

Defiant, The day before Russia started the hot war, Zelenskyy made a public announcement that he was going to rearm the Ukraine with nukes. Let's hope he failed in that effort.

I think we moved into the age of believing dictators when they announce their evil intent. People just didn't believe Hitler or Stalin and thought they were simple Joes like Mussolini and Franco. It's a real pity that nobody believed Russia was serious when it said no more NATO moving east and no more color revolutions sponsored by the CIA.
Once the nuke genie is out of the bottle....no matter who opens it or why...all bets are off and the odds are very good that things go south, permanently. I suspect if the midget had access to nukes Moscow would already be a crater....along with a lot of other places, including all of Ukraine.
Ukraine had nukes after the fall of the USSR. They gave them up with promises from Russia and the U.S. Would any of this war happened if they had kept a few?
I suspect Iran has also thought about that.
Treaties and promises of the west seem a fool's game.
Trump is a negotiator.
He actually wants peace in Ukraine, but neither Z nor P will personally survive a win by the other side, which makes it hard.
The EU needs the war to bleed Russia to survive a peace.
Russia isn't as good at drone warfare as Ukraine, but they are a strong 2nd, and the EU/NATO are aware that they can blitzkreig through their old style armor defensive formations all the way to the Atlantic in a matter of weeks (if not days) - if not tied down in Ukraine.
I would suggest that anyone directly involved in the fighting would not want the war to continue. Only are betters, and those with limited capacity to understand the horror.
I think Stalin was right when he is reported to have said that Quantity is a quality all by itself. Russia can build 10 to 100 x more drones per week then Ukraine even if everyone except China is helping out Ukraine. This means that Ukraine will run out of men and things long before Russia and it also means that our notfriends China and Russia are taking giant strides in drone warfare while we're still sitting around sucking air and trying to get a dozen drones built and flight tested and I'm sure they're using the damned Labs to do it and that is as stupid as continuing to build LCS long after they were proven worse than useless. The Labs exist to get funding not to solve problems. That is all they know and that is all they do. They study things to death and spend all their time and effort making sure that the lab is critical to continuation of any project.
