This was something else they did that was always wrong and they got away with it for almost 20 years. It took a Major to point out that flag officers and generals do not wear camouflage uniforms ever unless they are carrying weapons. For over 20 years the clowns running the show have appeared in field uniforms as if they are nothing more than privates or seamen and have even spent more than a decade trying to hide their actual rank insignia on the uniforms. They were all wearing cammo in the Pentagon and on ships at sea. It was disgraceful and it still is. I really hope this was part of the message, "put away the toy soldier costumes and wear the uniform that fully shows your background, history and experience."
This is what officers that are not repairing tanks out in the field wear to work.

With all the ribbons on their chests, they look like Nork Generals.
Be like Ike.
Sailors nowadays are wearing camouflage. It can't be very effective; I never saw trees growing aboard either of the carriers on which I served. It's actually very dangerous. If were to go overboard, I'd want clothing that would glow and sound sirens!

I see a few E-9's
Put the Sailors back in dungarees and chambray shirts, so they look like UNITED STATES NAVY Sailors. Not like some third world united military.
It's interesting that the US Army returned to the uniform worn during WW2. The only war we've won in modern history. Meanwhile the US Space Force still looks like the doorman at the Ritz.
Anyone else notice that General Dwight Eisenhower, who fought in two world wars and was the Supreme Allied Commander of WW2 and was awarded medals and awards from over 25 foreign countries, wore less ribbons or decortations than any of these modern generals who've never won anything

I was in a guard unit that had a fulltime guardsman LT where her job was to fill out the paperwork on awards and ribbons for everybody that went out the door on a mission or exercise. I averaged an AF Commendation medal every 2 years when I was in that unit. I was in a high deployable career field. In 12 years I added 16 ribbons to my rack. I never did anything exceptional, just my job.
Our commodore came down to San Diego to tell us that the Navy was ordering the minesweepers to the Persian Gulf and we would be leaving in a month. One of my sailors, an E-5 asked if we would get any ribbons out of it because he'd been in for 5 years now and still didn't have a single ribbon. He came back with 2 achievement medals, combat action ribbon, Navy Unit Citation, Deployment ribbon and either the Navy Expeditionary or Armed Forces Expeditionary Ribbon. It was a fascinating 4 month tour. :) He was one of the best sailors I worked with.
