When this happened, the fate of Japan was sealed. There was no escape and there was no hint of avoiding the sure and certain fate that awaited those that planned this attack. It may remind some of another event mentioned in the news with a similar outcome for the ones that started it. Be sure war is the path you mean to tread before you start down that path.

Amen Dan sadly I have to agree with you.
The Can DO, can figure it out, got a hardworking work ethic American has for the vast majority has dies out-aged out to Instagram "likes" collectors that cannot UNDERSTAND why the BOSS demands they come to WORK as scheduled and be reliable.
Those few that do have a work ethic are attacked as "ass kissers" or such by the nearly useless.
Even in the military when the cover your ass folks get promoted and things like the Bonhomme Richard burning into a unsalvageable scrap due to nobody taking command and fire fighting skills failing...well...
Despair is a sin and pretty sure no one knew what the Greatest Gen could do when faced with a crisis. There were cowards in every age. If our next generation cannot get through it, then we have failed in our duty.
