KNOW YOUR PLACE

It’s probably a good thing that Washington DC is on a stretch of tidal estuary because otherwise they’d probably be drinking Potomac sewage water right now and not know any better until half of them came down with dysentery and died. This is just pathetic.

Wow, just wow. Even at the epicenter of "POWER" they cannot avoid screwing up basic services.

I am semi-retired and work part time with EMS and it is scary how old most of our power linemen are and talking with them how few are signing up for such a nasty job.

Someday there will be insufficient people to deal with grid troubles.

I think that is now. The mutual aid is now almost nationwide for disasters when it used to be more local or state based.

I've had discussions on how to tell S HAS Hit the Fan.

So far, we agreed it's when EMS and Power Crews are unable to their jobs.

Threats of violence or otherwise, loss of emergency services and grid down is SHTF.

That older members are being pushed to stay on even part time is a tell at least in my area.

"...tens of millions of gallons per day..." Meanwhile the rest of the world is accurately reporting that number in liters.
